+ We were upgraded as it was our wedding anniversary and a complimentary bottle of champagne was in our room on arrival - very thoughtful. - The bathroom was very poor: jaccuzi bath did not work, the reception had to be called to get the bath plug out eac

We arrived in Rome for our second visit in as many years. We brought our two young children with us, 10 and 7. When we arrived, the hotel receptionist told us that we had been moved to their sister hotel and a bellman came to help us withour bags. We walked two blocks down the street and the bellman stopped at a large gate, opened the gate with an old skeleton key and walked us down the driveway toward the back of a very old building. At this point I was checking around to see if we were safe..LOL. The bellman opened the glass door to a private apartment and we entered. We had paid for a hotel room. Instead we were given an entire apartment. 2 bedrooms, a wonderful bathroom, a small kitchen and living room. With two children that need their sleep inorder to keep up with mom and dad, this was a real gem of a set up. We could put the kids to bed early and still have room to read, watch tv and/or talk. The apartment was very nice, big king size bed in the Master and two twin beds in the living area/2nd bedroom. Not much of a view, but the location was excellent. The staff checked in on us frequently and we were thrilled to have this apartment. We missed the breakfast each day, but we did not care. We had a wonderful cofee shop on the corner that my son and I enjoyed every morning. Go with the flow. Very happy with the staff, the hotel and the change in our accomodations. No additional charge for all that room!!

The rooms had enough pillows, an extra bed and a large, very functional bathroom, including bidet. Although slightly worn, we were very happy. Bring an alarm clock. This hotel was built before double-paned windows; expect some noise---very common ...

We found the hotel to be an excellent location for our prime purpose of visiting Vatican City. A metro stop was close by to explore farther reaches and/or sites were walk able as well. Rooms are not brightly lit and dark wallpaper does not help. But a comfortable bed, shower, nice neighborhood and breakfast-included was great.

The desk clerk was out of a Alfred Hitchcock movie. He had a raspy voice and watched as as we walked down the hall to find the narrow staircase leading to our room. No way could we fit in the elevator. There was a scent of mothballs and must in the...

We had a great experience there. We were in walking distance from the Vatican and some great restuarants. The beds could of been a little bit more comfortable but the rooms were nice. They had good breakfast buffets as well as a bar. We would recommend anyone to stay at the Atlante Gardens.
