This temple, admired by all and in all epochs, astonishes everyone for its 43, 40 mt high dome that is open in the middle and its severe elegance. Inside the circular-shaped interior is decorated with colorful marbles and other Roman architectural elements. Originally some elements and columns were covered with bronze layers but these were removed by Pope Urban VIII to build the altar in Saint Peter. Inside, one can find as well several tombs of some of the former Kings of Italy. The facade includes 16 monolithic pink marble columns, among the highest of Rome, while the columns in the inside's seven chapels are made in a rare kind of yellow marble. Distance from the hotel approximately 5 minutes walk.

Great location, but quality not so good -- There are a few places off of Piazza Navona including a bakery that is really reasonable. -- Try to find supermarkets and stock up on soda, b/c it is tremendously expensive in Italy. Or buy soda once you pass through security at your US airport. -- Exchange as much money at your US local bank b/c the exchange rate + fees are ridiculous, period.

+ Central to all attractions - Very small room, with no natural light.

Great Location This hotel is perfect for a sightseeing trip to Rome. The rooms are not big but they are clean. The Trevi Fountain is just around the corner and the Spanish steps a short walk away. The main road has bus services and the tour bus stops here too. Breakfast has a good selection of hot and cold food. The cafe has good snacks. I would use this hotel again.

Great location, but quality not so good Location of the hotel is great- steps away from the beautiful Trevi fountain and shopping/gelato places. It is also close to a supermarket where you can get a bottle of soda for 1 euro (it costs 5 in restaurants). The hotel is about 4 blocks away from the Barbarini metro...if you walk a few more blocks you’ll arrive at the Spanish Steps/Spagna. Other pluses include the breakfast, which is great, and internet service in the lobby. The staff is fairly helpful. On the downside, the first room I stayed in had ants :-( The second room I was moved to didn’t, but it was clearly a downgrade...the mattress was so flimsy that I ended up having back issues at the end of the trip (but it was better than having ants in the room!). Ask for a room at the back of the hotel- it is really noisy in the front at night. Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks -- There are a few places off of Piazza Navona including a bakery that is really reasonable. -- Try to find supermarkets and stock up on soda, b/c it is tremendously expensive in Italy. Or buy soda once you pass through security at your US airport. -- Exchange as much money at your US local bank b/c the exchange rate + fees are ridiculous, period.

We found Accademia to be an excellent base from which to explore Rome. 100 yards from the Trevi Fountain and easy walking distance to the major sites even with 9 & 12 year olds and their Grandma. Breakfasts good but repetitive after a week. Rooms spotless and cleaned every day. Reception staff knowledgeable, helpfull and extremely friendly. And a Burger King across the road when the kids have had enough of Pasta..... I'd certainly go back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends.

+ Central location, but quiet. Excellent room to a very high specification. - Hotel is being renovated, and you have to use two different lifts.
