sooo nice. I was only there a night-- the location was nice because you are up on a hill overlooking the city. The hotel bus takes you to the city- about 5 min drive . rooms are nice and it had live piano music by the pool

This has to be the most relaxing hotel that I've ever stayed at. The room I had was a mini-suite with a sitting area at the far end of the room with a private balcony. There are privacy shutters that are activated by a button near the bed that come down and block out all sunlight. There's an additional soundproof door that closes off the bath area from the room so the maid can still clean the bath without disturbing you. The executive lounge is the best by far with fabulous food changing out every two hours. The executive lounge has a balcony that overlooks St. Peter's and all of Rome is layed out for your viewing. It's a fabulous private location with little street noise and traffic. I'm looking forward to my next visit to Rome . . . I'm definitely staying at the Cavalieri! FYI, if you're planning a stay, the restaurant in the hotel is rated as one of the best in Rome with a waiting list of over a year. If anything, the breathtaking, romantic views are worth a visit to the restaurant.

We stayed on the executive level. Food three times a day with drinks. We were treated like royalty. The pool gardens were the best. Very relaxing. Try a bottle a champangne around the pool if you can't relax. It worked for us. We went down the hill about half way and ate at a perfect italian restaurant. What a stay!

My husband and I visited Rome last September (2007). Due to the fact that he is a frequent traveler and stays at Hilton properties quite often, we selected a Hilton property while in Rome. Bottom line: We were not disappointed. While there we stayed on the Concierge level and the rooms were elegant and the view of Rome was spectacular. We received the highest level of service, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. However, the best part of the hotel is their beds. After walking the city of Rome and visiting other nearby towns, we could count on a great nights sleep. We melted into our bed at night. When my husband and I returned to States we tried to find a bed that replicated what we had at the Cavalieri, but it just could not be done. There is so much more that makes this a great hotel...like the little touches of leaving a fresh pair of slippers beside the bed each day.

I have stayed at this hotel on many occasions with my family, and so i can say with experience that it is a very sophisticated and classic hotel.lovely staff in the executive lounge, and the indoor swimming pool is awesome. (have never been out to the outside pool) it is definitely amongst the top of all the hiltons I have stayed in, I highly recommend it! although it is a bit of a trek away from the city centre...but taxi's are always ready outside the hotel, so its not a problem. (note: I have only ever stayed in executive suites, so cannot comment on the standard rooms)

No better place to lay your head... I stayed here in October for a quick weekend stay in Rome and I chose to stay in one of the junior suites. Now, I travel a lot and I have stayed in tons of 5 star hotels all over the world, but I honestly think this one deserves a quick review. The staff is great and the hotel itself is beautiful. It was a little bit further from the center of Rome than I wanted to be, but it is still a very short taxi ride to get anywhere you want to go. The restaurants were nice, especially the one on the top floor and since the hotel is pretty much at the top of a hill, and you can get a good view of the city from the room by day or night. The spa/wellness center was just the cherry on the cake. The sauna, baths, and pools were perfect and a must after you have been seeing the sites all day. Of course you are going to have to spend a little more, but it will be worth every cent even with a room not on the top floors. Traveler's tip on dining If you want to actually get a table to eat in the restaurant at the hotel make reservations as soon as you get in. The restaurant fills up very quick and you could find yourself with a long wait.
