Friendly & helpful staff. Close to main train from airport and underground.

We paid 125 € for the rooms and for a 1 star hotel the standard was very good. The service from the staff was also great. The “problem” with this hotel is the location related to the city and the minor drawbacks that I have mentioned already in this review. If you can’t find a hotel in town this is absolutely a good alternative. Unbelievable breakfast! 6 cakes, 6 coffees, meat, fruit, cereal. No need to pay for the closer hotels, since this was 3 minutes walk to airport train, and 10 min walk to subway. The subway gets you everywhere very fast and very cheap, buy the weekly ...

In short, my husband and I were very pleased with our stay at the Holiday Inn Express San Giovanni. The hotel, although not in the center of town, still gave us easy access to the sites we wanted to see. The rooms were nicely air conditioned and, although simple and slightly crowded, were comfortable enough. The staff always gave useful advice to help us with our sightseeing needs. And we just couldn’t get over the great breakfast. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

We stayed for a week at this hotel and found it a treasure. It was a $1 bus ride away from the Colosseum, a $9 train ride from the airport, and the rooms and breakfast were great. The staff was also excellent.

The Hotel was very good in terms of cleanliness and the breakfast provided. But it was quite far away from the city centre. Walk to the closest metro was a good 10 mins. And the direction from the metro to the hotel was not given properly either. Good hot

This hotel was fairly close to a train station and not too far from a subway station. There were supermarkets within easy walking distance and a restaurant and hardware store too. The only meal served is breakfast and there is no fridge in the room with drinks so make sure you stock up on your own drinks since there is an ice machine in the lobby. You can pack yourself a lunch with the breakfast foods that include various cold cuts and cheeses.
