Esquilino Hotel

+ A very freindly staff who speak english which was a great help - First impresions of the hotel entrance do not represent the hotel itself

+ Staff were helpful and spoke english which was a major help to us - Although the location was great for walking to the main sites in rome, it was on two busy streets and the traffic in rome is constant so most nights we hardly slept as our room backed onto both main roads. they were unable to locate us to a quieter room. we never had the tv, mini fridge or safe as stated on the room requirements either.

+ On arrival the desk staff were very helpful and polite - The main problem with uor stay was that they do not take amex although it was booked through yourselves with amex, so at the end of our stay there was a bit of confusion, but as i pointed out the problem is between yourselves and the hotel. do not advertise what is not accepted as being accepted just to gain the custom. thanks to amex! it was sorted out.

+ It was a very good experience to stay at this hotel. it has excellent staff who can advise you with everything regarding any of your enquiries. the location is very good, close to the termini hub, however it is still a bit far away from the shops (via del corso area) - like 20 min walk, but close to monuments and sights. it depends the purpose of the visit of course. i'd call this hotel - "a place to stay", even though it has some minor difficulties. - Lack of internet. it is a huge negative expression of the esquilino for me. you can still connect through nearby internet-cafes, but it still will be way more convenient to have connection inside the rooms. also some bathrooms have a room for improvement.

+ Good location and nice staff - It did not compare at all with other hotels of the same price that i know in rome. it is an old decrepit hotel with a horrible breakfast! you can feel the springs through the mattresses!

+ Clean, well located - My room was very noisy and very dark during the day but not at night ! (a nearby light)

+ The location of the hotel is good for the main sites of rome. a very basic hotel but the staff etc were very very nice. - The rooms had just been decorated there was no tv no telephone in the room.clean warm and tidy.

+ The hotel receptionist was very friendly and gave good information on the area. the location is very central and good access to all the sites. - Need of updating in areas of the hotel.

+ The hotel is very well situated in the centre of rome walking distance to most major sites. staff were very friendly and happy to help when needed. our room was recently refurbished a good size and very comfortable i found it excellent value for money.

+ Very friendly staff. the hotel is located ideally in the center of rome. colliseum and other sites are on walking distance. clean room. - Bathroom was very small and the door didn't close properly. our room was very clean when we arrived, but it wasn't cleaned every day during our stay.
