The hotel contributed to our memorable stay in the Eternal City. We are very greatful of the management that went beyond their duty to help us out when we needed to get to Venice by train and Trainitalia workers went on strike. They made phone calls ...

Excellent service, poor location Hotel is close to a supermarket and also has a mini fridge. So stock up on Peroni and cold cuts instead of paying $7 a slice!

Also, if you're a television viewer be aware that their satellite TV only carries two English speaking stations, CNN Europe and MTV which is only partially in English (music videos).

The entrance stairs to reception were narrow, the carpet dirty. There were no lifts, we struggled on narrow staircases, carrying our luggage to our rooms. Our rooms were extremely small, the bathroom smelled mouldy. The hotel was quite far from sightseeing and city centre. It took us about 45min to an hour to walk back from National St. The area is doubtful, we were quite concerned on our way back. We were served only coffee, croissants and rolls with jam for breakfast, not a true continental breakfast as expected. They also ran out when more was requested. No smoking allowed in entire hotel.

Noisy location - trains & traffic. Far to walk to transportation. Walls to thin between rooms, no acoustic privacy. They use to much air freshener, a problem for sensitive noses. Heard the woman in adjoining room sneezing too.

An Okay hotel, very very thin walls, hardly any daylight, and unfortunately unfriendly staff at reception. We didn't feel welcome... but well, we had a place to stay, which was the main thing.

As a tourist with a busy day ahead breakfast would be important. Breakfast consisted of a bread roll and pastry per person with tea or coffee available. Breakfast was available until 9.45 but when we arrived down at 9.15am the properitor looked at his watch indicating that we were leaving it a bit late. I found this very off putting. Young gentleman that covered reception at certain times was very helpful with directions and good places to eat.

Charming budget Roman Hotel While it’s not located in the most convenient or desirable location, it’s affordable and has the friendliest and most helpful staff (they speak English). About a 20-min walk south of Termini Station, it’s about a 15-20-min walk from Santa Maria Maggiore and an additional 10-15 min-from the Colosseum. If you’ve ever been to Europe, you won’t be surprised by the size of the room (it’s rather small). The bathroom, while a nice size, has an incredibly small shower. The upside was the bathroom is equipped with a outlet converter (we could charge our American electronics without the purchase of an European converter). There are cafes and an internet cafe within a minute of the hotel. All in all, it’s a hidden gem that fits the budget. Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks Pack walking shoes. You can walk the city w/o a taxi. I highly suggest you take a bus tour b/c it takes you everywhere and you get on, see the site and get back on and go to the next site. Get to the Vatican early-the lines are ridiculously long outside AND inside! Get a Map/travel book as most of the historical sites aren’t label so you have no idea what’s what. Lastly, have fun, take a ton of pictures, and eat everything you can. You’ll thank yourself later.
