We asked to have a room with a balcony, which was not possible on the first night, but we were moved for the remainder of the holiday (3 nights). The reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast is nice, ok, it's the same every day, but this is Italy, where you can't have very high expectations of breakfast products.

This is a well presented hotel in a quiet corner of Rome. Walk down the hill to the local restaurants, or 15 minutes walk to Trastevere cinema, shops and restaurants. This represents great value for money.

Very nice hotel I only had 2 problems. The room got extremely hot with no way to turn off the steam heat and the lack of hot water for a bath. If you can deal with those Domus Aventina was great. Nice restaurants near by and also close to bus stops. Pay phones were difficult to find. If found they usually didn’t work.

The hotel has an excellent location in a quiet street but within walking distance to the Coliseum. The service was very pleasant and the facilities were fine, but the room was very small and dark (it was a single room). Expensive for what it was, but apparently hotels in Rome are not known to be the best value for money. Overall, nice enough. I would try again for a double room.

Rooms both had a bad odor all the time. They were very old looking. THe internet worked poorly.

Pleasant breakfast and front desk service. The hotel is a ten minute walk from the forum and a 25 - 45 minute walk to most other tourist destinations. I loved the walking. Walls are thin. If you can sleep through other people's conversations, hacking and bathroom noises it's a nice hotel, but if you're a light sleeper, you may want to look at other places.

Excellent location within walking distance of the pyramid, roman walls, collisium and circus maximus---lower rooms offer interior balconies looking onto ots of orange trees and flowers. Lavish continental breakfast, eggs and fresh squeezed blood orange juice among offerings and a cappuccino machine! Huge rooms! larger than expected bathroom! But no elevator and the soundproof rooms still though great for blocking out street and traffic noise still allow church bells tolling at 8am to be heard quite clearly. Markets and cafes are at least 10 minute walk away. Too bad they don't rearrange the rooms adding an additonal double bed to the queen size and pull out-so families with 3 children could stay.

This is a beautiful clean hotel in an outstanding location, but... ...it is overpriced, so much so that almost all rooms were empty during most of my stay. The single room was an old linen closet and should not have been offered for over 100 Euros. The double room was spacious, but in spite of paying a premium for it, they put me in a room without a balcony, while two entire floors of rooms with balconies remained empty. Laundry service was so slow as to be useless--I carried my clean laundry home with me.

This hotel is fabulous My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel while on vacation in Italy. It is perfectly loctaed near Cirucs Maximus and there is a bus stop within 200 feet. The breakfast buffet was great and the staff helped plan our days adventures. Our room was large by European standards and we had a beautiful view of the churches courtyard. I would highly recommend this hotel. Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks The bus stop near the hotel can get you to the Coloseum, Train Station, or Trevi Fountain. A bus pass is 16 Euros a week.
