Hotel dei Consoli is situated in the green hills of Castelli Romaniarea- few kilometers from the Popes Residence Gastelgandolfo and close to Albanos lake. Sports enthusiasts will find the Castelgandolfo Country Club- Albano Lake just few minutes away. The riding stables of Pratoni del Vivaro are a 15-minute drive.

Highly Recommended If you're in Rome for a day or two, I highly recommend the hop on hop off bus tour. As mentioned before, one of the stops is located a few short blocks from the hotel. The bus takes you to all of the major city attractions. I especially liked that it dropped you off right in front of the Colosseum and a cross walk away from the Vatican.

Great for Night before Leaving CIA The Hotel is close to CIA airport 6 or 7 km so we stayed there the night before leaving Rome. this worked out great, and the staff made us feel right at home. The Hotel is situated on a very busy road otherwise and would not be as well suited for trying to visit Rome by car and nearest Metro is a few kilometers away.

This hotel is wonderful. It had a fantastic breakfast the best we had on our entire trip. The locatin could not have been better. A wonderful place, I would definitely go back.

Venere.com with its feedback section gave us an excellent idea of what to expect at Hotel dei Consoli. This was invaluable as it was our first trip to Rome. Its location of 5 mins walk from St. Peter's Square was excellent, there is plenty of shopping & excellent Roman cuisine nearby,& if the mood takes you, all the major attractions of ancient Rome are within comfortable walking distance. Like the other comments posted, it is worthwhile plumbing for the jacuzzi bedroom for the (slightly) extra space & the soothing, soaking effect after all that walking! Those of a taller stature will not be able to enjoy an all over soak however. All the hotel staff we found to be excellent, with a friendly manner and a far better grasp of the English language than our Italian. Breakfasts were enjoyable with the option of a couple of tables out on a small balcony. There is no public area (e.g. bar) for the evening time, but it provides an excellent excuse to sample the local tavernas & bars. We would have no hesitation in recommending Hotel Dei Consoli to anyone, & we will use it again ourselves on our return to the Eternal City.

Great hotel. Very nice, clean rooms. Good breakfast. Great location for the Vatican, shopping and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again the next time we're in Rome.

Travelling into Rome if you like a cup of tea then take a travel kettle(very English i know lol) but this may throw the fuse switch in the room,just flick it back,there is a low threshold on how much electric will throw them,similar with an iron. enjoyable place to stay though.

excellent location we had a wonderful stay at dei consoli it is so near to everything we wanted to see. good resteraunts near by, also metro to take you to all the sights. We enjoyed excellent breakfasts in the roof top garden. I wouls highly recommend this hotel
