A very pleasant place to stay. Having coffee and tea available and water was excellent.

May 2004, seven of my family members and myself stayed here and all liked it. The rooms were clean and spacious. It was close enough to the attractions that the cab rides were under 10 euro but far enough from downtown that we didn't constantly hear ambulances and smell diesel fuel and hear the buzz of motorbikes. The staff was friendly. Avoid the breakfast buffet but do try the restaurant situated in front of this hotel! The pool, even though it was the off season was wonderful!

Located approx 15 minutes from St. Peter's, the name was a bit misleading. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were average, but the a/c did not work correctly, and the staff did not remedy the problem. Did have free shuttles to the airport, Vatican, and the center of Rome three times daily. Thought it should be a three-star rating.

+ The breakfast was good and a good deal. The hotel environment was excellent and the rooms roomy compared to other hotels I stayed in during the visit. The dinner at the hotel is not recommended. Too pricey and not very delicious. - elevator makes noise

I thought the hotel was well maintained by polite and courteous staff. Rooms were very modern and comfortable. Restaurant and bar area were conveniently located and the meals were good. Service was a little slow at times. The pool was large and very clean with plush towels available for use. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Nice room, with two double beds in each room. Beautiful pool. Free bus into town and to airport. Long way from tourist sites. Hotel bar and restaurant were overpriced.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the peaceful park like surroundings of the hotel away from a very busy noisy city. A very efficient shuttle bus service was available to take you into the city for sightseeing which made it all the more convenient.

The hotel is beautiful. It is well kept and clean. They offered a free shuttle to the city, but it ran 3 times in a day and at odd hours returning to the hotel, and it only had one stop, you needed to take a bus or taxi to get to the heart of the cityfrom there. Also, we were stuck in a first floor room with NO balcony and when we requested a change, we were quickly denied without even an I'm sorry but we are full or any other reason. The staff was not friendly and few spoke little if any english. No instructions were given as to how to use the automated room key, or how to turn on the lights which required your room key be inserted into a slot in the wall. When we asked a non-english speaking housekeeper to help, she laughed, shook her head in disbelief, but did demonstrate how to do the above. Satellite TV had one channel-in German. Only CNN and CNBC were in english, all others were in Italian. Luckily the cruise line we had used had english speaking reps on premises and they were at least helpful in answering basic questions, like where is the restaurant and the pool, etc. Crowne Plaza is a big hotel chain with a very good reputation, however, this one did not rank up there.

Hotel is about 10 minutes shuttle ride outside center of Rome. There are about 3 shuttles in and out each day at various hours. A taxi costs between 12-15 euro to hotel depending on time of day. The rooms were large, clean, and the staff was...
