Clodio
Via Di Santa Lucia 10 - 00195 Rome
The Lodi Hotel is housed in a nineteenth century building in the historic centre of Rome and within walking distance of several monuments such as the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano and the Colosseum. Since November 2006, the new hotel’s management, addressed its strive for the planning and the realization of a new product to offer in the receptive Roman atmosphere: a unique structure in a strategic position for young travellers from all over the world, a dynamic and friendly atmosphere where guests can mix and mingle and get to know each other. This hotel does not only represent a room and a bed where you can sleep, but also offers an original, unique atmosphere welcoming you to a home away from home. It provides an economic and competitive rate which includes the superior quality of any other small hotel or hostel in Rome. Choose a moment of tranquillity in the hotel's internal garden or warm yourself with the sun on the roof top terrace while indulging in a fresh cold drink or a good bottle of wine.

This hotel was just as depicted on their website except the single room was very small and the closet rod was unreachable. But the breakfast was good and the room was quiet. The location is also convenient for catching several buses at Piazza Clodio or for calling a cab. I would stay here again.

The staff is friendly and warm. They really go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. There is a lovely courtyard to spend down time. They have a little more growing up to do as a hostel, but I would recommend it to anyone.

The staff are absolutely AMAZING! They're funny, caring, and just amazing people full of love. They greet you by your name every day, and make you cappuccino in the morning when you wake up. There is a great garden out back during summer. I just loved it here!

The staff was very friendly and helpful - we checked out late, and they went out of their way to make sure that we weren't rushed, that we still got breakfast, and that we knew where we were going. Their helpful advice and friendly service really made this a pleasant stay - thank you!

:-( The room was OK, but the entrance door was very old-style, thin, and we could clearly hear voices and footsteps from the corridor. :-( Breakfast was poor compared with the level and price of the Hotel. :-) The hotel is easily reachable by public transports (metro+bus from Termini railway station), and it is at a walking distance (~15 min) from the Olympic Stadium. :-) 2 bus stops + 1 metro stops from San Peter's Square

Gina was very nice and the apartment was lovely. Our bedroom overlooked a canal so it was great watching the boats go by. We were the only ones there (it's a 2-bdrm apt) so it was very much a home away from home. An excellent place to go if you're looking to get away but don't mind not meeting anyone. We'll definitely be back next time we go to Venice!
