Great place to stay. The family are very nice, and recommended a great restaurant. The only problems is the inconvenience of the metro.

The apartment was a 5 minute walk from the metro, and was 4 metro stops from the Colosseum, 2 minutes walk to many shops Room was perfectly clean and tidy toilet too. For the price, very convenient for visits to almost anywhere in Rome. Good Seaside beach at Ostia Lido 30 mins train +10 mins walk. Francesco very welcoming, helpful, good English, plied us with useful information. I would not even consider staying anywhere else in rome. The area feels friendly and safe. Cheaper and just as quick as the 'express' buses that drop off at the Castel Sant'Angelo close Vatican City The rooms are spacious and there is every opportunity to utilize the facilities available to prepare ones own food if preferred. There is a convenience store only two doors away selling all the usual supermarket type things, (most of which we found to be a lot less costly than at home), and there is a trattoria at street level. Having plenty of space and light, was a joy, after being so often cooped up in small dark hotel rooms I found the people who manages very helpful, even asking us how they could improve the hospitality. Rooms were quiet, very clean, spacious enough and comfortable. The AC worked well. It was nice to walk in a neighborhood, where there are few tourists. The only improvement would have been to have easier access to taxis. It's really good value for money. This is the place to stay in Rome. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

everything was OK except that the apartment was offered on the site for EUR 105/day but at the end I had to pay unforeseen EUR 110/day + EUR 30 for cleaning. When I knew this it was too late to find another apartment

Terrible apartment, and terrible people to deal with. The location map sent to us was totally inaccurate so we couldn't actually find the property. It took several calls to persuade someone to meet us at the nearest Metro station to show us to the property. The apartment itself was a completely different one to the photos on the website! It was incredibly small, tastelessly decorated, the hot water lasted for 10 minutes at a time, the electrics regularly cut out and the 'kitchen' consisted of a sink, a double electric ring (only one of the rings worked) a broken toaster and a few cups, saucers, knives & forks. Even though this was meant to be a self-catering apartment, they wanted to 'clean' each morning (at 9 am!). On top of the quoted price we had to pay a 100 Euro 'deposit' for keys, tv remote and electricity used. When we came to leave they refused to return any of this 'deposit', claiming it was needed for final cleaning (the apartment was left as we found it), electricity and a 20 Euro charge for late arrival (as I say, the map they sent was wrong!). Ironically, the company is called Happy Guest Roma. This was our one and only experience of them; they misled us and ripped us off...DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! On the plus side, the apartment is near to a Metro station and has some good shops, bars and restaurants nearby.

Fantastic area - full of character - not your typical 'tourist' spot. There is a great little pizzeria about fifteen minutes walk, just past the Basillica San Paulo - home-cooking and service - and barely a word of english spoken! Wonderful.
