Stayed there from 10 - 12 October 2004, had a very clean Room (446) and bath plus Air Conditioning. Breakfast: Bread, Croissants, Cheese, Ham, Cereal, and Juice. The Beach is 50 meters away, but you have to cross the Street infront of the Hotel. If you stay only for 3 or 4 days, its OK. I payed 50 Euro per Night incl. Breakfast. Note: Taxi from Airport to Hotel is 15 Euro. On monday most of the Restaurants are closed.

spent 4 nights here last summer and were treated very well. the room was substantial, in fact for the price it was better than most hotels we had stayed in in England. The only thing I could complain about is how rude some of the guests were to the very friendly staff.

Don't stay here! Our room faced the front of the hotel, and the traffic noise was terrible and non-stop all night. It was very hot, and the room didn't even have a fan! So it was leave the window open and listen to the noise, and close the window and die from the heat. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling, and the breakfast tables weren't clean. We checked out after only one night. Avoid this place! There are much nicer places to stay nearby in Montesilvano.

We were very disappointed with this hotel and so were the people that we were travelling with. This is definetly not a three star hotel, more like a 2 star hotel. It is in need a renovation, additional lighting and maintenance. We didn't like the following: Location: Although it is realtively close to the beach, you must cross a busy 4 lane road to get to the stabiliments (beach areas) which are blocked off by fencing. This road is quite busy and noisy. You are located south of the main area of Pescara. So, for shopping, piazzas and such, one much walk, bus or taxi quite a distance. You also can't walk north very far along the beach because you reach the harbour. Tip: If it's beach you are after try some of the towns near Pescara, like Silvi Marina. There you can stay righ on the beach (no crossing roads or anything) for less cost. Tip: We saw more action walking south from the hotel, rather than going North. It seemed a lot of people were out and about late at night as there were some clubs and cafes open late south of the hotel. Rooms: We didn't find the hotel rooms overly comfortable. The TV remote didn't work and the front desk couldn't accomodate with another remote. The rooms were tired and old. Although relatively clean, the bathroom was very modern. The shower was very small. Many people in our group also didn't have water for a few days. I believe this was a Pescara wide problem but it still didn't add to the experience. People on the 1st floor always had water, however. Also, we were left without hot water on a few occasions as well. We also thought the hotel rooms were quite noisy and one could hear a lot of noise in the hallway. The beds were fairly uncomfortable as well and the bed spreads appeared dirty and old. Many people in our tour group had similar experiences. Food: The food at this hotel (breakfasts and dinners) didn't impress us very much as compared to other 3 star hotels in Italy. All in all, this wasn't a great hotel. There's a reason it costs so little for being in such close proximity to the beach. The hotel website photographs are not representative of the hotel rooms. Beware!

Hotel is in need of of a revamp. Traffic noise is a problem if you intend getting any sleep, with the windows open. Hotel is not in a great location, and seems pricey for what it offers. Please do yourself a favour and pick another hotel.

This hotel is 5 yards from the bus stop from the airport, it only costs 80 or 90 cents to get there and takes about 20 minutes. The staff could not be any more helpful about things in the local area and helping you in general. Some americans were in the hotel for breakfast when we came down the second time we were there and turned their noses up at the breakfast, remember what you are paying and think that you only get a machine coffee and a sugar loaded muffin at a motel in the US for the same price. The breakfast is basic European, Water or fruit juices from a machine. Coffee , teas or hot chocs from a machine. cornflakes ar chocolate krispies, fresh milk, cheese, ham, butter, jam, honey, marmalade, bread, crispbread all buffet style, please be fair when you rate these places all you folks from the states. I have visitedvthe USA more than 20 times and unless you stay in a 4 star hotel or more you will not find anything better. Rooms are dated but spotlessly clean,on the front can be a bit noisy, this is Italy, everywhetre is noisy unless you are in a field. Try the place to eat next door , good value for money great staff too, 1 lite of wine for 5.5 euros.Dont drink the lager or beer in Italy it does not make economic sense. Pizzas if you like them are the best value for money. Remember the bus tickets tend to last for 50,60 or 90 minutes from the time you stamp them on the bus. We went to Sorrento on train from Pescara and it cost 34euros to get there for a 5hour journey. travel in Italy is so cheap and reliable.

Stayed here for two days, was over in the area on a business trip and this was the only place with some rooms. The hotel is quite old, but this is typical for the area. To be fair the rooms were clean and tidy, there was air conditioning, a TV and all you need. I ate in the restaurant one evening, it was nothing special but the staff were very kind and helpful. I wouldn't choose to come here for more than a couple of days, but it served me fine, they let me check out late as my flight was in the evening. The price was very low - 50 EURO so it was excellent value for money. Plus the beach is 25 yds away !

We found the hotel very nice and far better than we expected. There was air conditioning in the room. I think it must have been done up recently. Breakfast isn't huge though, bread and croissants with juice. But be warned, Pescara is a dump!

The Regent is a very ordinary Hotel but the rooms are neat and tidy and I have usually had a brilliant sea view. The staff make a real effort if you ask for their help too. Great location (out of town) and the beach is yards away and empty most of the time (take a bottle of wine and a couple of glasses for a romantic evening). The main town is nothing special but has a few nice bars and loads of amazing shops, the designer shop street is outstanding. The best part has to be the old town, very small but look for a restaurant called Jozz (pronounced Yots) - incredible set menu with spit roast lamb and pork as the main dish, soup and 2 pasta courses first though!! Make sure you have enough blankets before it is late too, they don't leave spares in the wardrobes....
