Athens Hotels

Athens hotels fill up quickly in the summer months, so it is always sensible to book well in advance. Many new hotels opened up for the 2004 Olympics, and many old hotels were given a spruce, so there is a good choice of accommodation in the city. Hotels in the centre of Athens tend to be the most expensive, and also the noisiest. But some of the luxury hotels in historic districts such as Plaka are worth spending a little more money on. Many of the hotels in Athens are independent and boutique and there are fewer big chains than most capital cities.
