+ Because there was a major convention in progress at the time of my stay, rooms were at a premiem. At least this hotel was centrally located, clean, adequate, and safe. - No telephone in the room.

Well this is my worst experience with website reservations. It was a last minute find that would accept our small dog, but we got a smoking room and it reaked of smoke even after we left the facilities (on our clothes). I asked for a change of room but they didn't have another. It is next to a sex shop and some sort of seedy night sex club. Place to avoid!

Simple hotel. 10 min walk to the center. Needed earplugs to sleep but if there is no need to open the window it should be better. Right next door is the Erotic House with some 'interesting' pictures at the entrance so you might think about coming to this hotel with kids. No English speaking TV channel. After all for what I needed - 1 night for 1 person for little $$$ - it was ok & worth it.

Economical and centrally located I stayed at this hotel for two nights in July. This is a small hotel located very close to the river and main sights of Frankfurt. It is only a short trip by s-bahn from the airport or main train station. The room was clean and comfortable with a fresh continental breakfast. As a low cost economy hotel, Hotel Central Frankfurt met all my expectations and requirements. I would stay here again when I am in Frankfurt.

- The room smelled like smoke, there was not internet connection, the reception was closed for a large part of the day, the room was small and sub standard for Germany

Cheap, but ugly Next to an Eros-Center (brothel), at a very busy road. Far from center of Frankfurt. No phone in my room (the room of my colleague had a phone, though). Mediocre breakfast, no fruit.

+ The hotel was by the river with nice views. - There was a strip club right by the hotel and there are some explicity drawings on the wall. Not something I like my kids to see.

We were very, very disappointed with this hotel. We had actually made 2 nights reservations (the extra night was reserved a week before arrival) but when we got to the hotel, the staff (who hardly spoke English) did not know we were arriving. They had to call the manager in from home to communicate with us. Apparently, this hotel was just bought by these new owners in July 2007. We were first given a room with a twin bed and our reservations called for a double bed. They quickly changed our room when we said that we will not be able to stay if that was the only room available for us. The hallways to the rooms were poorly lighted. You had to look for the wall switch to turn on the hallway lights which were automatically turning off after a minute (barely enough time to figure out how to open the door of the room with the keys and to place your luggage inside the room). The bed in the room was as hard as can be -it almost felt like sleeping on the floor!! During check-in the staff were boasting in their broken English, of how they had the best breakfast in town. It was nothing out of the ordinary to say the least! This hotel is right next to an Adult store with displays around the building of very explicit cartoons of male and female bodies and organs. The back parking lot of the hotel also has a very big neon light of a semi-nude female which was constantly blinking thruout the night and reflected thru the bedroom and bathroom windows of our room. Needless to say, we checked out the next morning and did not stay for the second night!
