Hilton Mainz was OK It seems this hotel caters to airline staff. I have never seen so many pilots and other staff from so many airlines in one hotel. My room was comfortable, but the carpet needed replaced in a big way. My room didn’t have a flat screen TV, and I’m coming to expect that now. It cost 8 euro for 15 minutes to access the internet from computers in the lobby. A bit steep in my opinion. I’ve been to many hotels where that is free. Traveler's tip on local attractions The hotel’s location is its strength. It sits on the Rhine river, and across the street is the entrance to major outdoor shopping and the heart of the old town. Very convenient.
