Ambassador Hotel

Reasonable location. Near some Erotica shops but also the Main Train Station. About 15mins walk to main shopping street The Zeil. A couple miutes walk to River where several museums are locatedon the South Bank. Good price as well. I'd recommend this hotel.

Near to Frankfurt City Center. Walking distance to Kaufhof, Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank and Central Train Station. No restaurant in the hotel but many restaurants nearby, especially Turkish restaurants (Doner & Kebab Houses). I stayed during an exhibition and the price was too expensive then usual (about 150â). Can be preferred for maximum 75â.

I stayed at the Hotel Ambassador for two nights in early March 2004. My room was very clean, and I had a lovely balcony on the top floor with a fairly decent view of the city. The hotel is only a block away from the main train station, and there were two internet-access cafes within a block as well. For English-speakers, the Hotel Ambassador offers channels CNN World, BBC and MTV. As well, if you'd like to take one of several tours, the reception desk will arrange it for you and a tour guide will come to the hotel to pick you up.

Location better than expected The hotel is just on the border of the red light district, but the area can be easily avoided when walking to the city center or the train station. Its also conveniently located to a bridge to the other side of the river, where there are a lot of museums and good places to eat.

The location of this hotel was ideal within the city of Frankfurt. Easily within walking distances of all of the major attractions and restarants. The hotel is also located within 1000 meters of the main train station making travel outside the city really convenient. Across the street from the hotel is one of the easiest and user friendly laundry-mats in the entire town, making extended stays a lot more convenient.

The hotel was very clean with modern bathroom and facilities. Staff were helpful and spoke good english. Breakfast was a basic continetal breakfast with cereal, breads, meats cheese, tea and coffee but was of high quality. The main parts of Frankfurt including the historical centre were within walking distance of the hotel. A comfortable and enjoyable stay.

I do not recommend this hotel at all. I think this hotel does not meet a minimum requirement even for budget travelers. The biggest issue is noise coming from the inside of hotel building. The elevator and doors of other rooms make loud noise, annoying you at midnight. Besides, the dranage of our room was allmost clogged. The location is good. A few minutes walk down to the main station.

+ The staff were very good. - I put poor for value for money because I'm fed up paying such a high premium for book fair rates. They are too high. I was also surprised that they charged for internet connection, this should always be free for hotels in bus
