The Mercure Severinshof Koln hotel is a four storey property set in the centre of Cologne, 50 metres from the S Bahn station and within 1.5 kilometres of the city's shops, the historic old town and the museum district. Cologne Bonn Konrad Airport is 16 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 20 minutes. Renovation Notice: The hotel is scheduled to undergo renovations throughout August 2007. During this time, guests will have to use the side entrance and the reception desk will be temporarily relocated beside the restaurant. No estimated completion date is available at this time.

The hotel is certainly not a few minutes walk from the Cathedral. More like half an hour. Breakfast costs an additional 15/person.

It's a nice hotel, the room is comfortable, breakfast is great and big choice. Outside of the hotel is a subway station, only 2 stations away from the shopping center.

Having stayed at a few Ibis hotels in the past including all 3 in Köln it was interesting to stay in a more upmarket version within the Accor hotels group. Breakfast was to the same standards as Ibis and the rooms were slightly larger. Slightly out of the way for the main part of the city centre (Dom/Hbf) but there is a tram stop beside the hotel where you can get a tram to Neumarkt. Right out side the front of the hotel, contractors ar building a station for the new Nord-Sud s-Bahn and this work is continuous over 24 hours a day. We were Ok as we had a room at the back of the hotel.

The hotel rooms were more than adequate. However, when I booked through expedia, my reservation said I would get two double beds, instead I only got two single beds. It wasn't a huge problem, but as I was sharing with another person, not my partner, I would have rather had more space away. As it was, the single beds were very close, so that they could turn into a double. However, the hotel was a great value, right next door to a metro stop, and a short walk from central Cologne. I thought 15 euros was a bit too much for breakfast and instead would get a coffee and croissant from a local cafe located quite close to the hotel every day. I was there about a week. All in all I was happy with the location and the value of the hotel.

Very friendly attitude of personal Close to City Center ( walking distance) Nice paste/schnitzel buffer in the evening new metro line being build just in front of hotel providsed some noice Overa;; nice Hotel
