Good short stay break We booked this hotel for a short break whilst in Cologne for the Christmas markets. It's out of the main city but easy access routes via the trams. The Breakfast was really good for a continental hotel including a wide variety as well as eggs / bacon & sausage. The breakfast restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The reception staff were mixed - some nice some miserable!. The indoor pool was a nice size, but we couldn't go in it as it was FREEZING. That's the only negative aspect. There's a small supermarket next door for anything you've forgotten. The rooms were a reasonable size. The bathroom was very clean (I judge hotels a lot by bathroom cleanliness!!). The only other thing is that if you haven't been before it can be slightly confusing to get to from the airport. The instructions are clear as to which trains / trams to get but when you get off at Koeln Messe, then go down the stairs and follow the black square with n umber 3 on it to find the joining tram to get to the hotel. All in all no complaints and would recommend to friends.

Very Impressed Very friendly hotel staff most helpful and food of a very good standard. Shame about the location of the hotel you have to go inside to realise how good it is.

OK Despite the fact that the Leonardo Hotel Koeln overlooks one of the main routes into Cologne, it is quiet. Internet access is available via wi-fi in all rooms for an extra charge although you can access the net in a cramped corner behind the reception desk. But expect to wait your turn. The basement features a pool (which was cool), sauna (which was locked) and no lockers. A supermarket is located next door selling everything the mini bar has to offer at a fraction of the price. The TV in all rooms is programmed to about 40 different German-speaking channels except channel 23: CNN. The reception staff are helpful.
