Friends Hotel Cologne

Nice hotel. Good breakfast. Not in the center

we really enjoyed our stay and would consider recommending it to friends. We are also very impressed with the useful links sent by hotels.de with our confirmation and have allready recommended it to friends. we were very dissappointed with our evening meal we were very rushed, our main course was served before we had finished our starter and we were asked to pay the bill before we had finished. The food was nice but the service very poor. The breakfast was superb as was the service at breakfast.

We had a very nice stay in the hotel Friends. The room was very clean, everything looked new and probably was. The room was spacious with a nice balcony where you could sit and look at the view of cologne. The surroundings are very calm and green. The only downside was that it was a little bit far from the city centre. If youre planning on using public transport, then I would advise you to take the bus 150 from Wiener Platz (which u can easily access with the U-bhan from the city centre) to Flittard Süd (right in front of the hotel). The S-bhan station is a little bit far from the hotel (at least 10mn walk).

The place has a good marketing approach using the name of the hotel to set the stage for a relationship with each customer. Though we didn't strike up any such relationship, the front desk staff was in fact both friendly and helpful. For our quick overnight stay, the courtesy helped compensate for what we considered to be a odorous, carpet-stained room. The hotel wasn't fancy, and the location wasn't great either, though the price was relatively decent and the bus out front provided easy access to more lively areas of the surrounding neighborhoods.

My only problem with this hotel is its location as I found it too far from Cologne and also difficult to find. The place itself is perfect for a few days it is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok but not great overall you will enjoy your stay here.

Very quaint little place, good room for the price. I would stay here again.

The only positive thing was the restaurant . I had two 'problems' and any of them were solved . ..... only silence :-(
