I've stayed regularly at the Atrium over the last 3 years. The service is always friendly and the rooms are clean. The rooms do vary quite significantly in terms of size - people used to large US style hotel rooms may be in for a surprise. The hotel is in Rodenkirchen - a prosperous suburb to the south of the city of Cologne on the west bank of the Rhine. The town has a number of nice restaurants and is 20 minutes by taxi to the airport and 15 minutes into the city.

I rented a suite but was required to call for linens to make up the second bed. The bathroom was painted yellow cement with institutional green trim. The bath windows were frosted, no coverings. It looked like an old factory quickly re done. The...

Outstanding! I was not expecting a downtown hotel room to be so spacious and clean. This hotel is brand new, although the building is a beautiful historic highrise (unlike the generic display picture), just 3 blocks from the inner harbor. The...

Great value for money! There are two restaurant-boats on the Rhine within walking distance of the hotel where we've enjoyed having a drink or lunch on our various trips to Rodenkirchen, Cologne.

Quaint and charming, but with a few faults. The charges for internet service are astronomical, and you can only pay for it by the hour or by the day. If you absolute must have internet access during your travel you're best served elsewhere.

I love boutique hotels in German cities ..... If you like walking, jogging, or biking, the footpath along the banks of the Rhein is an absolute "don't miss." .... This park-like environment of quaint construction, new renovations, greenery, and river commerce truly puts the modern Germany on display.

Quaint and charming, but with a few faults. All in all a positive experience with a few minor faults. The neighborhood is very quaint with lots of small pubs and restaurants to choose from for dining options but a bit far from the city center if you have lots of activities planned around there. The hotel staff is very fluent in English, eager to answer any questions you might have and respond very quickly to requests for service. Additionally, the housekeeping staff is very thorough and each day the room was serviced it was as if we had just arrived. That said, they are some of the loudest housekeeping crew around, so if you intend to sleep in you may want to look elsewhere. Our room had a very nice view of the Rhein River and surrounding countryside. Traveler's tip for business travelers The charges for internet service are astronomical, and you can only pay for it by the hour or by the day. If you absolute must have internet access during your travel you’re best served elsewhere.

A lovely piece of Koln Wondefful and quaint. Very close to the Rhine walkway and train station. Great restaurants within minuts away. Staff was excellent and very friendly. I would certainly stay here again, thanks Atrium
