We opted for a junior suite at 111Euros/night during the Christmas markets. We were very impressed. We had a king size bed with luxury sheets and duvet. We had our own sitting area with sofa and coffee table. The marble bathroom was huge with large bath and glass shower. Our window and balcony had a view of the Dom in the distance. Breakfast was fantastic with selection of eggs, bacon, sausage, meats and cheeses, breads, cereals, and fruit. Wish the location was a bit more central - it felt quite removed from the action. But the room and hotel were splendid!

Wonderful hotel with a good location. The cathedral and museums were within easy walking distance. The staff was particularly friendly and helpful (and get extra points for their excellent restuarant recommendations.) Can't objectively judge the rooms - we were bumped up to a jr suite, which was outstanding. Perhaps regular rooms would be less sumptuous, but we only wished we were staying longer. Breakfast was partucularly good. The only downside was that there was some re-modelling going on and some halls had the smell of curing dry-wall (never heard any construction noise, though). The flip side of the construction is that everything we saw were newly painted and carpeted - everything extra clean and fresh.

It is a small wonderful hotel with rooms furnished with beautiful, tasteful antique furniture. Each room is different and our room is overlooking a park. The rooms have high ceiling and big windows. Service is very good. We did not use any facilities as we only stay there for a day. I would highly recommended it to people who want something different and unique.

My wife and I stayed there for 3 days to visit the Cologne Christmas markets and take a break. The hotel is very good for the price, not one fo the fancy chain hotel. It does have lot of character with antic furniture, the room we were in (#12) was big. Even if located not far from the road, you cannot hear a thing (they have windows + double glazing - I never seem this before), very quiet. Location wise, it is brilliant, 10 minutes walk to the town center (at a slow pace). Breakfast is continental + hot buffet, plenty of good food. I would definitely go back. We paid €92 for 3 nights (contact them direct).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Antik Hotel Bristol. The staff was friendly and the breakfasts were excellent. The rooms were a bit worn but the beds were very comfortable and the furniture was unique. Our shower leaked each time we used it but the maid left extra towels (after seeing how we were using them). It was a bit of a walk to the train station but each day the walk seemed shorter as we got to know our way around. We felt we had got a good value for our stay and would stay there again.

The Antik Hotel Bristol was just what we were looking for----a smaller hotel with a quaint feel in a quiet area not too far from the center. The hotel is about ten minutes walk from the dome in a residential/commercial area. It isn't amidst a bunch of touristy things, but we found it a nice area nonetheless. There's a subway stop just outside the hotel and restaurants nearby. We booked two rooms, each of which were different with their own charm. The rooms are furnished in an old-timey style, while the bathrooms are modern and bright. Everything was very clean and wasn't the least bit worn looking. Each had a tiny balcony with a chair. The employees of the hotel were most helpful. They made a great dinner recommendation for a restaurant in the area. The breakfast was a typical modern European style, with many choices of bread, cheese, yogurt, etc. We really enjoyed our stay and, should we go again to Cologne, we will surely stay at the Anitk Hotel.

Stayed at the Antik Bristol for one night in a twin room at the beginning of December. Hotel is at walking distance from the train station (15 minutes), directions are posted on their website. The check in was smooth and quick and room was ready before the check in time, which gave us a chance to refresh before going sightseeing. Furnitures are in "Antik" style, with wooden beds, a desk, tv and a cupboard. Bathroom was very clean with bathtub. Water pressure was adequate. My bed was a little squeaky, but comfortable. The other bed was ok. Buffet breakfast was included in the price and satisfying, with wide choice of cheese, ham, bread, croissants, eggs, jam and so on. Pretty good coffee too. The checkout was also fine and we paid the price agreed. The staff was pleasant and answered to all the questions we made (my friend who speaks German did the talking, so i cannot comment on their skills in English). Overall a good experience with no bad surprises.
