A small but charming hotel right off Jean Jaures Alleys. Ok, it does look a bit dodgy from the outside, but once indoors, you might be up for a big surprise.

It met our expectations. Traveling with my wife.

Very disappointed by the quality and condition of the hotel. Very thin walls and floors. Could hear people moving around the building. Found when using the steps (rather than lift) between floors that the fire exit steps where very rickety v concerned of exit in case of emergency. Shower stall floor chipped and dirty. Very old furnishings felt unclean. Much better hotels for same price, for example other hotel name.

We really enjoyed our stay there, this hotel has been recommended by some friends who have stayed there on their way down south. The staff is very friendly and helpfull, and I'd say, it does make the difference, as you really feel looked after. Rooms are very neat and the maids are also extremely polite.

We had the best welcome we have ever had in France from the hotel manager/owner. She was very kind, giving us a map, advice on where to find good restaurants, and generally very friendly and thoughtful. The room we had was a junior suite - it was huge, and the bed was the biggest we have ever slept in! The decor was modern and fresh, the en suite facilities were fabulous - shower and bath, two sinks seperate WC, and everything was absolutely spotless. The breakfast was served in a small dining area - self service - and was adequate. For a two star hotel, it was as plush as a 4 star. We travelled on and stayed in other hotels with higher ratings which came nowhere near the standard of Hotel Riquet. It really is worth a stay, and great value for money. We had thought that as it is near the railway station, it might have been in a run down part of town, but that is not the case. It is a few metres from the main road to the town centre and within easy walking distance from all of the towns attractions. Great restaurants nearby, the pictures, buses at hand, and metro. Perfect.

I stayed at the hotel in March 2006 and had some problems. Although I have informed hotel staff about my late arrival, nobody was at the reception at midnight and they didn't leave my room key. So I had to stay at another hotel the first night in Toulouse. The next day I went to the hotel. As I prepaid the money to the travel agency, the hotel refused to refund it. The woman at the reception desk was rude and she said I should have ring the doorbell. But how could I have expected that an hotel had a doorbell and seen it late at night? I stayed at the hotel that night, but it was very unconfortable. I was bitten by bugs and itched for the whole stay.

We loved this hotel and Toulouse. We figured it would be a great place to pick-up a car and head to Lourdes. We had no idea we would fall in love with this college town. The map to the hotel is not the greatest, but then again nothing on venere.com (we have found) has a good map. It is so close to the train station and not far from Place Wilson and the rest of the hopping parts of town. Highly recommend this cute hotel!

Immaculately clean but bland. Perfect for a quick overnight stay. As close to the station as you can be without being in one of the rougher roads whcih lead down from the station. Not much character but great value for money, although breakfast seemed aexpensice but I didn't have any as plenty of cafés nearby. Five minutes walk into town and to the station. The single rooms was literally a single room - one single bed, a TV, tiny shower room french window, nice and warm, and the street quiet so you could leave a window open at night.

Stayed in a Junior Suite which was very large, very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. It's a pleasant five minute walk to the Capitol centre of Toulouse
