Les Abattoirs is a massive exhibition space housed in a former abattoir that features pioneering modern art and 20th century exhibits. Even if you aren't interested in the art, it's worth the visit just to see the building. Please note: Reception is open 7AM to 11PM Monday to Friday, and 7AM to 7PM at weekends. Confusing sign age made it hard to find, as it had another name that was more prominent than the name we knew. Handy location generally, not too far from city center, easy access from outside city.

Nouvel Horizon is on the outskirts of Toulouse, close to public transport (bus) and right next to the ring road. It was very good base for travelling around the south west area of France. Hotel was good value for the price paid.

+ The location was great - close to downtown, next to a patisserie, boulangerie and fruit and vegetable store, and close to the airport. The staff was really friendly and helpful, and the hotel was quiet.
