Chez Tony
. Rue De La Glaciere 75 - 31200 Toulouse
The hotel is situated just off the main ring road (Rocade), and a short drive from Blagnac airport. This British owned two star hotel offers excellent service and comfortable accommodation at very competitive rates. Our restaurant and bar is open Monday thru' Friday serving three course traditional French meals at only 11,50 euros, and that includes wine! We are only a 10 to 15 minute drive in the car from downtown Toulouse (or a twenty minute bus-ride) and are located near to a bus-stop. Transport to and from Blagnac airport and Gare Matabiau can be provided, depending on day of arrival and time of arrival. All of our rooms are en suite, the majority with both bath and shower- just a couple have shower only. Single rooms all contain a double bed. Twin rooms contain one double bed and one single bed for two people sharing. Triple rooms contain one double bed and one single bed for three people sharing, although we can offer another single bed or z bed in room provided you let us know beforehand. During quiet periods, for a triple room booking we may be able to offer a twin and a single room at no extra cost, this cannot be confirmed until arrival. We are currently in the process of refurbishing all our rooms; however we cannot guarantee that you will stay in a completely refurbished room. Nevertheless we feel that we offer excellent value for money and hope that you will be pleased with your stay here. Please note that as we are located outside of Toulouse centre itself, (We do stress that according to bus timetables it is a 17 minute bus ride). In our opinion just over 20 minutes. You should be prepared to take a bus, number 10 to Fondeyre. We will endeavour to transport you to and from your arrival and departure points but due to business commitments we may not always be able to do so. Normally on a Saturday and Sunday evening we are unable to do so but give us a ring in any case. You must discuss it with us beforehand. The reception is unmanned, at certain times, over Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays. Please ring us just confirm, as we can leave your key in your room. Please note that we have a lady, Alice, who lives in at the hotel but she is unable to speak English. so if you do arrive late, without knowing your room number, please realise that you are in France and not everyone speaks English here.....Thankfully Sarah and I do.Cancellation Policy: Cancel by 4pm on the day of arrival, to avoid room/s charge. For non- arrivals the charge will be one night's accommodation.Check in is normally after 12pm.Check out is 11am.If the key to the room is not returned to us within a week we will have to charge 15 euros. Please ask us for maps and information of Toulouse and we will do our best to arm you with information in order for you to enjoy your stay in 'La Vie en Rose' - The pink city. Nearby is Lake Sesquieres, which is 15 minutes on foot from the hotel, and by it, there is also a very large disco as well. Please indicate time of arrival, in particular for weekend arrivals. As the reception is not manned all the time. Thank you.Adam and Sarah.

Great hostel. Desk manager was very helpful and spoke good English. The directions that are included in an e-mail from "hotelsclub" are not correct. As I recall the bus # it says to take doesn't exist or is not right. Look it up on a map, it's very obvious. Bus stop is right outside the hostel! Very easy bus ride from center city Toulouse. I had a private room with a TV. Nice big bed. No AC, but big windows you could open.

This hostel is very difficult to go for the first visiters. It's so far from the metro station! Though there is the bus station near the hostel, but it's so complicated.

This place was average. It was kind of like a truck stop, but if you have just flown in and need somewhere cheap near the airport for a night, this place does the job.

We didn't see anyone, employee or other guests, untill the morning we left. The hotel is a million miles from anywhere good and there is no internet/info places to help with bus systems etc. the whole place stinks reeeeal bad. seriously, pay the extra few euros and go somewhere else.

It's not the Hilton, but not so bad... A bit far from downtown.

Unfortunately, this hotel was suggested by the conference organisers from the University of Toulouse-le Mirail. So, I ended up in a room that looks like a copy of the candid traveler photos posted by another traveler. A picture is worth a thousand words. Trust the photos! I had to sleep in the diagonal because the matress must be 40 years old!!!! The very helpful staff should be a much better hotel.

We booked in this hotel as part of a 3 night short break package - paid for in advance through Lastminute. It was dire. I think we were the only guests. The decor was cheap 1970's. The bed and matress were banana shape, presumably with old age. The bedding had holes in it. The bedside lights were hanging off the wall. The bathroom had numerous cracked tiles on the walls and floor. There was no shower attachment and no waste in the basin. We couldn't work out whether the walls were painted nicotine colour and were just plain nicotine stained. The lift only worked up to the 3rd floor. We were told to take the lift to the third floor and then walk up to the final floor. The whole place was gloomy - 25watt lightbulb syndrome! When we asked at reception whether all the rooms were the same the response was 'no - our room was the best'!! We had a definite feel that they regularly expected people to see the room and then leave They told us if we had come down within an hour of checking in we could have left at no charge, If we had known this and were certain we could find another room we would have. We spent our first evening in Toulouse searching out an alternative hotel. Thankfully we found one and checked out the next morning. At no time did the hotel ask us why. The best thing about this hotel is the location - right next to the major refurbishment of the metro - just outside the entrance - pneumatic drills and tower cranes etc. Never again!!!!!

I wish I had seen the above commentary about De Paris in Toulouse. We stayed 1 night in Toulouse this week and regret paying money to stay there. While the staff was helpful and friendly, our fourth floor room had several issues: as reported earlier the lift works to the 3rd floor, the AC failed to work, the bed was miserable, above the ground floor the general upkeep is poor, and the hotel stinks of smoke. There are better deals in Toulouse.

Filthy, uncomfortable and grim grim grim. Bed was at an alarming angle. The bidet had been ripped out of the bathroom and there was just a big hole where it had once been. The shower flooded the bathroom when you used it. There were hairs and bits of loo roll all over the floor when we checked in. It smelt. I couldn't bear to undress and slept in my clothes. And it was the most expensive night of our stay in France! You have been warned.
