It was our first time Toulon. Hotel is at walking distance from the station and city center The stall at reception and restaurant were very pleasant and helpfull. The corridors are hardly spotted but the romms are big and nice. Buffet breakfast was expensive (13 euros) but good and more than sufficient. It was easy for us to reach the rugby stadium at Marseilles

The best things about this hotel are: friendly staff, quiet location, only 5 mins from train station, good-sized rooms (especially bathroom) The worst: stains on carpet in the hallways, one of the lifts has an uneven floor, my room appeared to be in a corner and didn't let in hardly any natural light, breakfast is adequate but a disappointment for a 4**** hotel. Overall: In my opinion this hotel isn't worth the 118+ euros per night!

Holiday Inn Garden Court?Never again.Dirty bedroom.Dirty bathroom. We arrived late after failing to get to Marseilles with traffic gridlock and found a cold unhelpful receptionist. No food was available in the hotel after 10 pm, not even a sandwich. We paid Eur 103 for a room that was not worth even Eur 35.This is definately NOT a four star property - more like a NO star one.

I'll just get right down to the point: *Peeling wallpaper in both the hallways and the room. *Ceilings in room badly water-stained. *Grimy, badly stained bedspreads. Why do hotels use bedspreads?? If they are not going to clean them as they would bed linens, I wish they would get rid of them altogether! *Terrible odor of sweat and cigarettes in the room. *Expensive internet connection! 6 euros for 30 min, 10 euros for 1 hour, 30 euros for 24 (consecutive) hours! *Expensive mini-bar. 3.50 euros for a small bottle of water or a can of coke. *Heavy traffic noise from the room. *Their largest beds are much too small for 2. I don't think it was even a queen size bed. *Ineffective aircon. I realize expensive is a relative term but most other hotels in Toulon (which is not a tourist destination) are much cheaper than this Holiday Inn. I have stayed in 5 stars in some expensive cities in the world and have yet to see a place that charges so much for internet connection. The hotel itself is badly in need of a complete makeover and it is outrageous for them to even contemplate charging upwards of 100 euros for the room! This is MOST DEFINITELY NOT a 4-star hotel as it purports to be. It is also a bit of a walk from the town center and is not in an attractive location.

An easy walk from the rail station, even if you're dragging luggage. Plenty of eating places within a 10-minute walk. Staff very friendly, rooms very clean, including the bathrooms. Because of the mild weather and the many choices off-property I only ate breakfast there, but if the dinners are anywhere as good as the breakfasts you shouldn't be disappointed. I'd recommend this property to all categories of travelers.

JUst got back from this hotel. I was not disappointed but was not pleased either. Staff is friendly. Rooms are OK nothing special. This is listed as a 4 star by the local tourism board. I'd say three stars. Location is great but the rest is just OK. No real complaints though.

Having read earlier reviews we were apprehensive but we needn't have worried. The hotel was fine. Refurbishment is underway and when this is complete the hotel will be even better. Location 10 minutes walk from town and harbour, staff were friendly and efficient. Room clean and perfectly adequate.
