If you suffer from vertigo, this is not the hotel for you. There is no lift; there is a staircase spiralling aroung a very wide stair-well, with a useless balustrade (all cast-iron curlicues, impossible to hold or slide one's hand along) on the air side and none on the wall side. Also, since it is an early Napoleonic building, the storeys are very high. During a one overnight stay I climbed and descended the equivalent of 9 tall floors.

No elevator, the trip to the fifth floor was an adventure after a transatlantic flight and train trip from Paris

The directions to get to the hotel are wrong. Watch out! And there is no wifi in the hotel. You have to awkwardly sit behind the front desk with the receptionist. Other than that, great service, exceptionally clean rooms!

This is a great little boutique hotel: clean, comfortable and well appointed rooms (including new TVs and very comfy beds). Also, it is in an ideal location, close to the train station as well as the Port and the old town. I highly recommend and wish I had stayed longer.
