Exclusive Hostellerie Du Cigalou

The information on all the websites I saw for this hotel are out of date. The hotel was taken over 2 years ago and now they no longer use the restaurant on site as a restaurant, only a breakfast room. The hotel now has an arrangement with a good restaurant next door, L'Esquinade, and I would recommend it. The private beach is only open from June I was told when we got there, although on the website it states from May onwards. The photos of the rooms are skillfully done, but not so nice in reality. The stairs and landings are quite dark, and there is no lift. We had a superior sea view room for 85 euros a night, room only and it was small and not very nicely furnished, however the bathroom was new and well finished. A shelf would be helpful for toiletries, and places to hang towels - ours were folded on the edge of the sink. Having said all that the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Our sea view also included the service station next door. I would not recommend this if you want a quiet place to chill in the sun. I would recommend it if you just want a base for the area.
