Room was VERY small, with hardly space to walk, but for the price paid as compared to other hotels, I cannot complain. The location is not fantastic and though it's called Yllen Eiffel, it's about 15-20 mins walk to the Eiffel Tower at least. It's about 30 minutes walk to Invalides. On one of the nights, we walked back from Champs Elysees and it took me and my wife about 1H15Mins on normal walking pace. The best part is, it's just next to a Metro station, so you can probably buy a one day pass and go to all the places you want around Paris. The Metro closes around 12Mn to 1am so no worries about not making it back to the hotel. The entrance of the hotel is extremely difficult to move your big lugagges as it was a small revolving door. Breskfast was so so and not much selection, but the African lady was rather nice. Overall, if you are on a budget, go for it. If you want comfort, nah.... Of, there is a supemarket at the street just behind and a few cafes and Chinese eateries, just to mention.

Below par, but after all, I guess it is near the centre of Paris I normally stay more on the outskirts of Paris, with 3/4 star hotels which have much bigger rooms, better facilities & cleaner than this one. I cannot believe this is a 3 star, it has very little to offer. The rooms are very small, the walls are thin and the whole room shakes when your neighbour closes the door. Still, location is good with the Metro on the doorstep and the staff are OK.

Paris Short Break - Wonderful We found the best way to get around to visit all the main attractions was the L'Open Tour bus. There is a very informative commentary, four different routes and you can get on & off as you wish, using it as a normal bus. A two day ticket can be purchased which also includes the Batobus on the Seine. One final tip the L'Open Tour the last time stated on the schedule is when the service terminates NOT the last departure.

The hotel was very centrally located, and this was a bonus. Breakfast was really good, and staff friendly. The room was very small, but there are better rooms, but was clean and bathroon facilities good.

Would def go back I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff was very nice, and the location was well picked. Its right off the metro, which makes it very easy to find. Rooms were clean, and there are quite a few places to eat around there that are inexpensive. The internet at the hotel is a bit pricey, but less than a block away is a internet cafe that is half the price. I would def. stay here again. It is also about 15 mins away to the Eiffel Tower, but make sure you have a map, as it could be a bit tricky to get there.

Worth the Price Some might complain the rooms at Yllen Eiffel are tiny, but one needs to remember this is Europe. Many hotels have smaller spaces. For the price, this hotel was well worth it. The Number 12 Metro line has a station right across the street which was incredibly convenient. The bakeries around the corner are excellent and a pharmacy and grocery store are located down the street as well (many things are closed on Sundays). Since this is a small hotel, there is limited staff. Most of the front desk staff were very helpful. Traveler's tip Keep in mind there are limited channels on the tv. There is only one English channel which is SkyNews. So unless you want to hear the same news repeated, bring a portable DVD player if you want to relax once you’re back in the room.
