Stayed at the Mazarin in May 09--the room was spacious, larger than most hotels I was looking at in the Marais, complete with a refrigerator and mini bar. Even the elevator and bathrooms were larger that I had expected for this area. It is convenient to the Metro and walking distance to Notre Dame and 5-10 min walk to the Louvre. There are many great cafe's in the Marais right outside the hotel doors and the staff was wonderful in helping us navigate the city--all speak English.

The hotel was beautiful- very clean, and very spacious especially for a room in Europe. The staff also spoke English very well. The only problem was with venere.com itself- when searching for a room in Paris, I entered that there were to be 4 in the room. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were told that they were not insured for 4 people in each room and that we would need to get an additional room. The staff worked with us by charging us a discounted rate for the rooms, but I would recommend calling the hotel yourself to verify the number of people allowed in each room.

+ I liked the location and room size was excellent for Europe. - Staff made you feel like you were a burden to them and a bit rude. My only complaint about the hotel.

A very nice updated room, clean, comfortable and plenty of room, especially for Paris. My room was on the outside corner of the building, room 23 I believe. The area isn't very noisy at night though so I didn't have any problems with street noise. The reception area isn't anything special but I don't really care about that anyway. The staff were very helpful, even with a special restaurant research project. Overally a very pleasant stay and worth the money, I would visit again for sure.

Recently (Apr'05) rebuild, this small hotel has clean, modern (TFT TV + Internet WiFi) and spaciuos rooms very dificult to find in so convinient city location. Staff is very friendly: Ask Mr. Tomas, recepcionist speaking fluently several languages and with a great knowledge of art & museums (its alter job is Louvre guide). Wonderful quality/price ratio.

+ Convenient location, near metro and other sites. Freindly and helpful staff. Room decor and comfort. - There was no lounge or dining room so you had to sit in your room as we were a largeish group this was not so great although the rooms were lovely

My Overall Stay Rating and Prices Quoted numbers would have been 9 or 10 but I had similar experiences as others posting here that had an effect on an otherwise wonderful stay. Most of the staff was courteous and helpful, with the exception of the one wom

+ The assistance provided by the staff was excellent. Our room was very comfortable in particular we had a good firm bed which supported sleep after a long journey.
