The hotel was clean, the room was spacious and it was very, very quiet because the hotel is in a yard and our room faced the yard. The staff was extremely friendly and they all spoke very good English (some also spoke Spanish, Italian and other languages). The location is also good; near a subway station. We checked in earlier than usual (no problem) and after checkout left our bags at the hotel (again, no problem). We are a modest couple and we would definitely recommend it to others. The only negative thing I can think of is the smell in the nonsmoking room. It smelled of cigarette smoke even though it was clearly a nonsmoking room (a nonsmoking sticker on the door).

Hotel.info did it again for me, and managed to get me an outrageously good price for a room in this quite lovely hotel. The hotel has quite an elegant entrance, and is wonderfully quiet, especially considering how close it is to the Moulin Rouge. My room was well and tastefully appointed - nicer than many hotels with more stars and really very large. The bed was sprung, firm and comfy. The joy of having a room with a bath in it is without bounds, especially after a long day of visiting tourist spots and shopping at the January sales. Definitely recommend this one. The safe didn't work, and the two times I wanted to use the business centre (desk with computer) to check my emails the staff member couldn't find the logon and password so I had to give up on being connected for the weekend. Oh and the tv guide claimed they had multiple english-speaking channels but in reality only had CNN

First time in Paris and would go back again but not stay at the Blanche Foinatain only because of the noise levels. The hotel was spotless and the staff very helpful. The other guest we met were American and really nice, told us that anywhere they ate the food was lovely even if it looked a bit suspect. Our room was just above the forecourt and guests tended to congregate there in the mornings from 7.30 onwards and we could hear everything even with the pillows over our head. Really annoying as we had been to the Moulin Rouge the night before and needed a sleep in. The breakfast was great and location ok. Very near Metro Stop Blanche but there were a lot of people sleeping in Doorways near the hotel. None of them bottered you when you passed and they said hallo and few times when we passed but there was 6 of us. just be aware that they are there. The Hop on Hop off Bus is great to see Paris but it takes ages to get to places Check what time it finishes as we missed the last bus twice and had to get the metro back to the hotel. Metro much quicker if your only there for a few days. Be aware of the queues for everything. Definatly going back to paris but not to this hotel.
