First off I have to say to anyone looking at this review....Understand the difference between lodging in the US vs abroad.

I stayed there lest year at this same time and so I knew to expect but they charged for breakfast this year and the it was hot and the air conditioning didn't work so the third night they transferred us to another room. The gentlemen that run it are very pleasant and congenial.

This hotels was wonderful. By Paris standards, the rooms are very spacious. The fact that is has AC and an elevator where reasons my family chose this hotel for our stay in July. It was very conveniently located and was close to the metro stations and several cafes and shopping areas. I notice that another review was disappointed in the elevator size and the lobby size. Let me say that this is very typical in Europe. If you want a good value and a very nice hotel, go with the Trocadero La Tour.

Hotel Construction The hotel was nice but under construction. We were given no warning about this by the hotel or Expedia (which the hotel said it had informed of its status). We were awoken to loud pounding on our ceiling early in the morning as they preformed demolition right above our bedroom. Generally, the rooms were small and the walls are very thin, but the hotel is located in a nice area and relatively cheap. The best part of the hotel was the lady at the front desk who recommended a great place for dinner that my wife and I both loved.

I will start by saying this was my first time to Paris, but I did understand that their notion of a quality room was different than ours. If this were the US, most Motel 6 rooms easily surpass our room. Considering they asked 200 euros a night, the room was beyond bad. The cloth wallpaper was soiled and delaminating, the A/C did not work, and the bed was a double. Additionally there was construction occurring from 8a-5p. Another recommendation: don't get a street side room. The stone buildings reflect sound incredibly. Our experience with the wait staff was also poor, but the lobby staff were friendly.

Very pleased overall with the hotel; nice and friendly. Room was a little on the small side, but clean , and serviced every day. Only a (small) shower, no bath. But good facilities for small hotel; Mini bar, TV, Phone, Hairdryer and in room safe (no extra money) Hotel can arrange for transfers to / from airport, which is not much more expensive that public transport, ans is door to door. Only about 15 minutes walk from Eiffel Tower, but not much else in area (although near to Metro stations) Would happily stop here again

This hotel is located in the heart of the Passy area, very close to the Eiffel tower. It is a very clean and upscale area. We didn't feel like tourists at all there. We chose Trocadero because of what they said they offered and because the web pictures looked quite amazing. When we got there, it was a different story. The lift is only for 3 people, the lobby is smaller than my living room, and the room was quite small as well. We found the staff not very friendly at all. Some spoke nice english, but not everyone. If you decide to have breakfast in the breakfast room, they will charge you 10 euros per head, which includes, a tiny glas of juice, coffee, and some bread. One time we came down 5 minutes before they closed the breakfast room and the server was visibly annoyed. If you decide to have breakfast, don't waste your money, go to one of the nice little places in the street behind the passy plaza. I truly feel this hotel should be 2 stars instead of three. And what's the point of charging 10 euros for bread, why couldn't they include it in the package. OH! AND don't count on the "cable tv" it's only 6 channels, 1 in english (bbc news) and the rest in french. The tv is a tiny 13 inch that you need glasses to see from your bed. Also, dont count on shower courtains either, they don't have it.
