Recently refurbed and looking clean . Rooms a little bit bijou but otherwise okay. Before checking in ask about the upgrade to top floor (view over the city) rooms - quite reasonable surcharge only. Hotel isn nicely placed for the Funicular and Sacre Coeur but is in a quiet area also. Plenty of good restaurants within a few minutes walk. Access is potentially difficult for those with walking difficulties.

Situated on the slope of Montmartre the hotel is perfect for those who like to enjoy both the life on the hill as well as have a fifteen minute walk to the heart of the city.

You can't possibly imagine how small this room is for 100 Euros. The shower about 2 feet by 2 feet. The bed was smaller than a double but not quite a twin. Despite being that small, you could not walk between the armoire and the bed - you had to crawl over the bed.

What shines about this hotel, though, is its prime location near a lot of wonderful French restaurants and shops. Less than a few blocks away, there's a street loaded with fabric shops, a circus shop, and wonderful little fruit stands. (This is all downhill from the hotel.) Uphill from the hotel is the tourist trap area of Montmartre, where all the tourbuses drop off loads of obnoxious tourists. Around the Abbesses Metro stop, though, there is a great deal of wonderful little cafes and shops!

Ask for a room with a view! Fantastic!!! The rooms are small, but most rooms in Paris are. The location was great for visiting Montmartre in the evening. Our room faced the Eiffel Tower, what a veiw to fall asleep to! Did not eat at the hotel, but there are many places to find pasteries, breads and cheeses. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

I was a bit apprehensive booking this hotel -after reading some of the reviews, however it proved to be a little gem. The breakfast was a standard price of around 8 euros all you can eat as well -some of the local cafe charge that for a croissant and coffee!! The patisserie across the square was wonderful. It is situated on a quiet hilly spot in montmartre -not for the unfit! The rooms were clean, the shower (despite negative comments) was interesting! But overall money well spent!! would definately recommend it. Staff spoke excellent English, and i practiced my limited French.

This was our second stay at Timhotel Montmartre. We requested and were given the same room as last year. We love this part of Paris and the hotel is delightfully situated on a small, pretty square with views of Sacré Coeur. Building work on another property in the square slightly marred the view from the hotel and general upgrading work in Montmartre is affecting some of the streets, but the magic is still there. The hotel staff are very welcoming and helpful. Our room was not large but was airy and very comfortable. The breakfast room is basic but adequate with a self service breakfast. Access to the rest of Paris is easy by bus or by Metro. Stops are a short walk from the hotel. I am sure we will be returing on our next visit to Paris.

You need to climb a hill to access the hotel. Bathroom was very small and toilet not very accesible.
