It is the worst hotel that I have stayed during my years of travelling. Chose this hotel mainly because it seems near to the station Gare Du Nord as it is named after it. But don't be fooled. It is farther than you think and as we took a late night Eurostar, the search and walk to the hotel was tedious and stressful. would not recommend this hotel to anyone. And the noise level from the trains are enough to keep you awake the whole night.

We thought the hotel was great for the price we paid. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast, which is included in the price was above average compared to what we have experienced in other hotels. There was a choice of really nice pastries and French stick bread, cereal, fruit and 2 kinds of cheese. There were 2 kinds of fruit juice as well as tea and coffee. And on Monday morning, there were even eggs, hard boiled, which was fine with me.The previous reviewer mentioned something about friendly tramps looking in the windows. We were on the ground floor and we did not experience anyone trying to peer in at us.Our package did not include transfers and we had to get from Gare du Nord to the hotel ourselves with our luggage.

Timhotel was fairly close to transport bus and train. The room was smallest we had on our trip but it was quiet. There was one man on the reception desk who was very helpful and spoke good English. We didn't have breaffast there so can't comment on that. The price was good value for money.

+ quite sleep - No parking available in the Hotel if you go by car. Or it is Paris typical?

Not that good, but will work. Be sure to buy the 3 or 5 day Metro pass and get your Museum passes online. Saves you from many lines once there. Rick Steeves' books are great. I have been there thrice and one key is not to try to see too much in one trip. Go back. I also think you can save some money by getting flight/hotel packages. It seems the place to stay is the Latin Quarter.

Its not as close as I thought from Gare du Nord station to the hotel. Its actually quite far away from the station with about 15 min walking. It might take up to 25 mins as we have luggage with us. Besides, the surrounding is full of Indians which make our stays very unsecure as we're the foreigners. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to my friends who are going to Paris.

Timhotel The two times this year I've been in CDG Airport, I came across Americans trying to get change for the train. It's 8 euro 20, and the machines take coins only, not bills. It took credit cards, but it did not accept US cards (my assumption, maybe if you had a pin). If possible have Euro coins before you go, as the people I came across had a difficult time getting change. It took 30 minutes for one couple, which is a pain after a trans-Atlantic.

For the price this hotel was perfect. Its proximity to Gare du Nord is the main plus for this hotel.
