The Five Hotel
3 Rue De Flatters - 75005 Paris
This hotel is ideally located in the Latin quarter, the Mecca of artistic and student life since the 1920s. The Five hotel is ideally situated for exploring and enjoying the very heart of historical Paris: ancient Paris with its Lutetia arena, medieval Paris with the Cluny museum, the lively rue Mouffetard and the majestic Cathedral of Notre Dame, the Paris of learning, home of the Sorbonne, the oldest European University, and the Jardin des Plantes, the unique botanical garden famous for its imposing Gallery of Evolution. This is one of the most innovative hotels in Paris, where art and originality elegantly and subtlety combine. Upon arrival guests are transported into another universe... The refined foyer of the reception hall, with its design and colours are enchanting. Visitors will also be able to admire the art gallery, as well as the mini film in the elevator. Then, the singularity of the environment in the room will dazzle with its captivating play of light, reflected by the lacquered works of China. Guests will be guided by the gentility of pleasant fragrances to plunge them in a state of quietude and serenity. In the hall, guests can curl up at fireside in front of the blazing chimney.. Upon leaving the hotel, guests will be attracted by the titillating aroma of pastries (breakfast is served from 07:00 a euro ' 10:00am). Then, a stroll down the Mouffetard street is recommended, one of oldest of Paris. All of the rooms are equipped with a 66cm LCD satellite TV, a glass desk (in most rooms), individual heating, double-glazed windows, free Wi-Fi Internet access, and a bathroom with bath or shower. These rooms are tastefully decorated in fresh shades of blue, green or beige and they all have a 140 x 190 cm bed.

Excellent hotel, Great Service!!! Great hotel. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist, who spoke fluent english. She made us feel welcomed and told us about good places nearby. Hotel was very clean. Small rooms, but everything is small in Paris. Will definitely go back!! I miss paris!!!

Design Boutique Hotel for Good Value Spent nine nights in a superior room at the Five and it was a great home base for exploring Paris. The hotel is on a quiet block and in a non-touristy neighborhood. It is within short walking distance of Jardin du Luxembourg, rue Mouffetard, Pantheon, Jardin des Plantes, RER and metro. Rooms are small, but made up for size with cool lighting, quality linens and l’Occitane toiletries. Bathrooms are tiny with closet-sized stand-up showers (a plus in Paris), but have modern design and amenities. It felt like home and an escape from the hordes of tourists, while at the same being relatively close to all the major sites. It was excellent value, the most reasonable we could find for a design hotel in central Paris.

Great art hotel in Latin Quarter with Superior Service Small Rooms If you can get by with a very small room this is a great place to stay. I found the staff to be the best I encountered on my trip to Paris. Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay Try the restaurant Marty’s just around the corner. Expensive but fabulous seafood.

Reasonable hotel The room was on the small side, but probably not far below the average size for a Parisian hotel. It's not centrally located -- it's a 5-10 minute walk to the Port Royal RER/metro station.

+ Loved the hotel, staff were really helpful, no room service is a let down. And although the rooms are designed lovely, they are quite small - Towels were too small.

The hotel was beautifully done up but on the edges of a nice area as opposed to being in a nice area. The rooms were riducously small there was nowhere to put my suitcase and be able to walk around the bed. The bathroom was two cupboards with no door. Never stay there
