Radisson Sas Hotel Champs Elysees

78 Avenue Marceau - 75008 Paris

The Radisson SAS Hotel Champs Elysées is a six story hotel located one block from the Avenue des Champs Elysées, the Arc de Triomphe, and a train and Metro station. The 46 guestrooms feature clean, modern décor with wooden floors, leather topped desks and natural stone bathrooms, and overlook either the inner courtyard or Avenue Marceau. All rooms include high speed Internet connections, flat screen televisions and laptop sized safes. Opened in 2002, the hotel retains its historical 19th century Haussmann façade, and features a lobby lounge and nouvelle cuisine restaurant with courtyard dining from May through September. Breakfast is served at the restaurant and in the lobby lounge each morning. Guests can relax in the open lounge bar over cocktails, reading the complimentary daily newspapers or browsing the books on the shelves. Parc Monceau is 800 meters from the hotel, as is the Seine, where guests can take guided river cruises, day or night. The banks of the river are also popular for jogging. For a different kind of water experience, there are underground tours of the Paris sewers (Les Egouts de Paris), located on the Left Bank side of Pont Alma, four blocks from the hotel. A large fitness center lies four blocks from the hotel, which is also a 45 minute train ride from Eurodisney and three kilometers from the Louvre. Charles de Gaulle Airport is 28 kilometers from the hotel. The RER train service serves the airport. Line B runs from the TGV station at Terminal 2 to Gare du Nord, Châtelet les Halles, St Michel and Denfert Rochereau, with connections for the metro. A taxi to the city centre will take around 45 minutes. Roissybus serves all three terminals and runs to the rue Scribe for métro Opéra.

Not worth the money Stay off tourist areas and get something around Passy-Trocadero area instead.

Very nice furniture in the room and a big bath room with plenty of bath towels. Some moderate waiting times at the reception and at breakfast.

four stars question mark What kind of four star hotel doesn't have a digital alarm clock in the room so that you can tell what time it is when you wake in the morning with the curtains closed? What kind of four star hotel runs out of hot water when you are having a shower last thing in the evening? Don't forget to put the don't disturb sign out when your having a 6 o'clock snooze after a hard day's tramping about Paris. They'll be in to clean your room if you don't.

Not worth the money This hotel is rated at 4 star hotel however it is not even near to be a 4 star hotel.. This is more like a 3 start hotel. It is clean and staff is nice but rooms are kind of oldish, bathroom doors do not lock and it does not offer a view as it was advertised. Traveler's tip Stay off tourist areas and get something around Passy-Trocadero area instead.
