Picardy Hôtel-Gare Du Nord

+ Proximity to Gare du Nord - right across the road. - The hotel urgently needs reparation.

I have stayed in many 2*hotels in that paris area and must say it was one of the worst ,noise from guests using lift, good not sleep in the bed it was so worn it caused me back pains etc,etc no i will not stay there again. Mr R Wraight

+ Closeness to metro - too noisy, staff not very helpful (breakfast)

I would have liked to read more reviews about this hotel. There was no smoke alarm or fire exits, the staff were smoking all over the place. The lift was not big enough for an average sized person, let alone 2. The staircase was a health hazard as unclean sheets were strewn everywhere, and I nearly tripped over on more than one ocassion. There was no satellite tv as advertised. We had no towels in our room, and had to request them, they were not changed at all during our stay and neither was the bedding. The toilet flush did not work properly and neither did the sink, or the bedside lights. I would not even let my dog stay in this place!

+ Location and price, as I was at the Paris Airshow and wanted to be close to the Garee Du Nord. - Lift was out of order and I was on the eight floor!!!!

the room was not clean to our satisfaction the carpets are old and dirty the bathroom floor was covered in hair!!! the shower cubicle is dirty and old fashioned and there is a hole on the lower wall!!bed linen was smelly the pillow was dirty and just covered with a sheet!!! no passport checks were done for check in and no riceipt was given to us for the money paid!!!

+ Location, helpful staff, facilities fairly basic but clean. Good budget accomodation.
