+ Very Paris - inspite of the "Old Hollywood" feeling. Nice neighbourghhood. Quiet (room not facing the street). Very near transportation (Metro Porte d'Orleans).

Impressed I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the hotel was. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. The hotel is older (Paris is an old city however, right?) and the rooms small (not unlike NYC or San Francisco rooms tend to small). But don’t let this deter you. The hotel hads a funny modern decor that is colorful and eclectic. I liked that it was on the edge of the city, away from all the tourist attractions. The neighborhoods and locals are where the true experience is at. Traveler's tip on recreational activities Day 1 I took a bike tour with Fat Tire Tours. It was wonderful! You get a lay of the land, find all the major sites so you can return when you like. The ride is exciting (in the traffic!) but easy as far as fitness level required. You meet at the Eiffel Tower and see all the major museums & sites, stopping along the way to hear interesting & funny stories and facts. Do it!
