I had seen a couple of complaining reviews about this hotel before booking to stay for the weekend. It's a bit pricey for what it is but overall it is a perfectly satisfactory place to stay. We stayed for three nights and it meets all the criteria of a short stay hotel. The service was prompt and friendly, it was clean and reasonably close to the areas we wanted to visit. Are people just not used to walking anymore? Turn left and walk across the bridge into a really interesting area of the city. We had a great time just wondering around on that first evening. Turn right and walk along by the Seine to hit all those great sites, Eiffel Tower (about 15 mins) and then on into the centre of Paris. There is a metro station about five mins from the hotel and turning right here takes you into a local area shopping street for breakfast or just coffee. Buy some bread in the morning and eat it warm as you wonder around town. Fantastic!. We stopped at a little cafe, not more that ten minutes from the hotel for Sunday breakfast, had some coffee and ordered oysters from a van selling them on the roadside. I'm English and we are known for being prejudiced against the French but Paris is the best city in the world. Just go and enjoy it.

Nice, modern hotel, but if you are looking for a the charm of Paris, this is not the hotel for you. The location is poor - this hotel is more suited to the business traveler.

3 star hotel the location of this hotel was fantastic. The rooms are clean and a reasonable size. However, the staff were not as friendly as one would like. I thought the hotel to be more of a 3 star hotel than a 4 star hotel.

The hotel is located in a smoggy, dirty, industrial strip of town - not remotely romantic. The hotel ad is misleading as it is not close to the Eiffel Tower (at least 25 minutes away on foot). The nearest metro stop is 10-15 minutes away. You have to go up a long escalator to reach the lobby. The lobby looks somewhat fancy, but the rest of the hotel has no character. The registration staff was very friendly and helpful; however, when we checked into the room, we were appalled to find how cramped and dirty it was. The carpeting was filthy -stained everywhere and very old. As this was our honeymoon, we asked to be moved to a larger room, offering to pay the difference - which was substantial. The second room was more spacious, but still had dirty carpeting. Then the shower flooded - soaking the bathroom, through the dividing wall, and onto the carpeting outside the bathroom - so we had to be moved again. This third room also had a leaky shower. The bathroom door had a large gap in it that let all the water through. After every shower, the entire room was flooded and we had to mop it with extra towels. We learned that several other guests had this same problem. The manager didn't offer any apologies. One concierge was very snooty - and acted as if we were bothering him. The other concierge was nice, but not particularly knowledgable. The extremely expensive breakfast buffet ($25 euro each) was inedible: runny, funny-smelling scrambled eggs, super fatty meats, and warm - not cold-milk for the cereal. Phone charges, internet access were exorbitant. You even had to pay to use the pool. Altogether, a horrific experience. I would not stay there again if I were paid to! Avoid this hotel at all costs! It ruined our vacation.

+ Convenient location about not far from the Eiffel Tower. Close to the Bir Hakeim and Charles Michels Metro stations therefore quick to everything. Only 50m from the river. We enjoyed our week at the hotel.

Novotel Paris Tour Eiffel is great! Nice hotel, pretty modern in its decor, lobby, rooms etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean. The hotel is walking distance from a grocery store (Monoprix). We were able to exist on food from the grocery store and therefore not have to pay exorbitant rates for breakfast etc. Also the Charles Michels (#10) metro station is close by and so were able to visit all the sites around Paris very easily.

A well organised hotel and very clean The overall stay was good, the only problem we encounted was that the air conditioning in the bedroom was on constantly. We could adjust the temperature but not turn it off which gave us all colds. A week later I am still feeling quite unwell.
