Should be a two star, not four. This hotel should be rated as a 2 star, or a 3 star max. It does not have any of the ammenities or luxuries of a 4 star hotel, and is decorated like a cheap roadside motel. Furnishings were old and damaged, bathroom tile was chipped, and if you want a blow dryer they will charge your 15 euro extra each day. Breakfast is also 15 euro, and can only be likened to something you would find at a German truck stop. In a nutshell, horrible and overpriced. Traveler's tip on local attractions The location is prime for the right bank, and is in the heart of Paris’ best shopping district, and walking distance from just about everything.

+ The location, the breakfast and the (for french hotels) good size of the rooms - The lift broke down repeatedly during two days and generally the hotel is in urgent need of restoration.

We really enjoy staying at this hotel. The location is perfect since Paris is a city that you enjoy most walking.

Good breakfast, free Wifi in the Lobby - not sure whether this one was an official offer from the Hotel - Great Facade from outside, ideal location for being in the 1er unfriendly staff, not competent in some cases, totally worn down rooms.

Great Location What the hotel lacks in amenities, it makes up for in location. It is a place to stay if you are more interested in checking out the sites and using your hotel as just a place to sleep.

Spectacular location near Louvre & Comedie Francaise. Old hotel with lots of character, charm & history. Staff very friendly and competent. Showing serious signs of wear. Carpets, doors to guest rooms, walls, bedding, etc.

The hotel is old, run down, with bad food and inconsiderate staff. I booked this because it was rated as a 4-star on hotels.com. This hotel is a 2 or 2 1/2 star at best. The rooms are shoddy and poorly maintained and very outdated. Do not, under any circumstances, eat breakfast at the hotel - it is over-priced and absolutely awful. I will never stay there again, despite it's great location
