Pros: Good location (near train station) at a reasonable price. Hotel is very clean and comfortable. Good service received. Cons: Room and lift are small. Noisy at night. Overall: Would definitely stay there again.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The ff are my experience in this hotel: Cleanliness of the room is terrible. The bathroom stank like it smelled like urine. The flooring of the shower room had some slippery/sticky substance. I think this was because the sewage was so slow to drain so by the time all the water was drained, particles from soap/shampoo has already settled and stuck on the flooring. I think the cleaner did not even try to scrub the floor after the guest prior to me checked out. I almost slipped too. During my second night, they replaced my tv with a flat lcd. This should have been a plus to them, but no--as they forgot to clean up after installation. When I got into my room, the carpet, as well as my bed and table, were dusty. They were covered with cement particles that came off from the walls. They cleaned up only the next day. Bed was rather old and so are the sheets. Room was small but adequate if you only need a place to sleep. It's a budget hotel so I really did not expect much (except cleanliness!). I truly appreciate the breakfast. I mean, even the more expensive hotels that I've been to do not even serve a piece of bread for free. Breakfast consists of a croissant, baguette, butter, jam, coffee/chocolate/milk, and orange juice. Breakfast server is polite and is quick to serve breakfast. No wifi access. The hotel has no proper signage except for a piece of paper where the hotel name was scribbled which was posted on its glass door. Be prepared to climbed up the stairs if you plan to stay here. You'll probably see improvements within the next few months as I've seen some renovation works being done while I was there. Really good access to the Parmentier Metro Station, bars, some restaurants/snack bars, fruit stands.

We just would like to say 'Thank you' for lovely three days in Paris last weekend. We could not have wished for a better choice of a hotel. The hotel is very conveniently situated just 2 minutes walk from a metro station with easy access to Montmartre, the city centre or the Gare du Nord and d'Est. The hotel room we stayed in was small but clean and warm. The proprietor and his team were fabulous: very friendly and accommodating (and spoke very good English - very handy when you are tired from walking around Paris and cannot think of any French words.) Good luck with all the refurbishments and best wishes for the New Year. Julie and Petra ;o))

The receptionists were very friendly (especially the lady in the morning shift) and provided us much information about paris. There was a supermarket just opposite the hotel, which was very convenient. Pastry shops were widely available around the corner. It was also fairly near to the metro station, Parmentier. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The lift was very small though, just enough for 1 person and 1 luggage.

Very friendly staff. Great breakfast to start off the day. TV with English channels. Very close to major metro stops. Great overall value!

Good value for a 2-star hotel; however, comes up with many restrictions and not too friendly staff. Lobby and breakfast room have been recently renovated, the rooms and bathrooms are in poor condition.

Tiny rooms, tiny beds, and a tinier lift, but the service is great, the staff friendly, and the breakfast simple but good. Most importantly, the rooms were clean and the hotel is in a safe neighborhood and is close to a metro stop. There is also a nice grocery store across the street. We stayed with five kids between two rooms, and besides feeling cramped, we feel like the price was right (relative to costs in Paris!) for what we got.
