Monte Carlo

Monte Carlo

44 Rue Faubourg Montmartre - 75009 Paris

The charming Monte Carlo hotel is quirky, affordable, clean, safe, and situated in a very varied and lively area. The 9th district of Paris is well-known for its activities and history, it is at the junction of chic and trendy areas, such as Palais Royal and Rue Saint HonorAc or Montmartre, and nighthawk-friendly with stores open more or less 24/7. The hotel is very accessible by public transportation and just a few steps away from Le Peletier subway station. The rooms are small and cosy, all unique and original, designed by Sofi Bollack-Klarwein in passionate colours worthy of a beautiful Matisse. The hosts are welcoming and helpful and will share with you their knowledge of Parisa euro s sights and attractions. The hotel offers a French breakfast in front of one of those magic inside courtyards so very Parisian.

    - very good location in the heart of 19th century's Paris - free and fast wireless internet - efficient staff - very good chinese (thai?) restaurant next door cooking fresh pasta - like usual in center of Paris, room is fairly small but still one can easily move about. I mean there is much much worse for higher price - bedding could be a little bit better

A Great Experience The staff at the Monte Carlo were pleasant and professional. They quickly responded to a problem I had with my television. The room and lobby were well decorated. Especially memorable were the vibrant colors and the overall cleanliness. The neighborhood was an excellent location for catching the metro a few blocks away or walking up to Montmartre. One felt completely safe.

+ The staff were very friendly and helpful. - The room was very basic, but that's to be expected with the price. While basic, it was certainly comfortable and convenient and suited my purposes perfectly well.

The hotel was very clean, and this includes the shared toilets and showers. No complaints really, I was pleasantly surprised. My room was facing the road and was quite noisy. On a positive note, it was also relatively spacious. I stayed there for two nights, could leave my luggage there on the day of departure, and best of all: I could walk from there down to the river Seine (Louvre, etc.) and up to Montmatre as well as to the Gare du Nord. It's never more than, say, 20-30 minutes on foot, which for a capital city I think is really good. Would definitely recommend and stay there again, although with young children it could be better to have own WC (just for practical reasons). There was a wash basin in the room, though!

The common bathroom is terrific. Bat the price in this zone is very good.
