Mercure Paris Suffren Tour Eiffel
20 Rue Jean Rey - 75015 Paris
Located in the center of Paris, France, the intimate Mercure Tour Eiffel is just steps away from the Eiffel Tower. The hotel is also near the Arc de Triomphe and Les Invalides, one of the most imposing examples of French classical architecture, which now houses a military museum. Visitors are also close to the Opera Garnier, a famous Neo Baroque landmark, along with the Montmartre, a hill on the right bank of the Seine River that contains the Moulin Rouge nightclub. Champs Élysées, a tree lined avenue dotted with elegant cafes, theaters and shops, is 10 minutes from the hotel, and Orly Airport is located 12 miles away. The lighting and charm of the flowered patio at the Mercure Tour Eiffel surrounds the breakfast room and will tempt guests to enjoy their breakfast outdoors. Visitors can also lounge in the comfort of Le Magellan, the hotel bar. Three meeting rooms with audiovisual equipment are available for business guests, and the multilingual 24 hour front desk staff can provide laundry and fax services, as well as on site underground parking. Guestrooms include minibars, cable television, direct dial telephones and Internet access. Select guestrooms offer large balconies and views of the Eiffel Tower. Limited room service is also available.

I stayed 3 days in Paris. This was my 5th trip to Paris and 2nd time to stay at Mercure Suffren Hotel. Location was great-just close to Eiffel Tower. It was very easy to find taxi from hotel, although there was a strike in the city and it was difficult to find taxis in the rest of the city. I generally enjoyed my stay a lot. My only comment is that breakfasts can be improved to include more international or oriental tastes as well. I would love to stay at Mercure Suffren again.

American style hotel near Eiffel Tower I have stayed in several European hotels and this one is a good choice if you are looking for a hotel with "American" features such as spacious rooms, multiple large elevators (that you can actually fit a suitcase in), and standard bathrooms (except for no shower curtain, which seems to be standard in all hotels in Europe). Also near several Paris tourist attractions and metro station.

Hotel location is excellent, but room is very small, also with the 4 star level it has a plastic cup in a bag in bathroom?

I feel that the hotel's location was good. The Eiffel Tower is two blocks away and that is the only highlight of my stay at Mercure. However, this was not a four star hotel. I specifically requested a non-smoking room. The first room I received was smoking. I went back to the concierge and was given a key for another room, which clearly had not been cleaned (the beds were unmade and there was garbage on the floor). I had to go back for a third time to receive the key for another room. I had to call 3 times for maintenance to come to fix it. The linens were not clean. Some towels had some disgusting brown stains, which were not inviting to use. Upon checking out, they tried to charge me over 250 extra EUROs for multiple breakfasts that I never had. I disputed this and they did remove the charges. This is an overpriced budget hotel. It was clearly not what I expected. It does not meet the standard of a 4 or even 3 star hotel.

+ the location is very close to Eiffel tower and metro in a good residential area. The staff is pleasent and cooperative - Breakfast buffet is limited for the level of the hotel.

It was 'okay' ! Unfortunately, during my stay the local Metro station was closed due to major refurbishment so we had to use the RER all the time or be prepared for a longer walk. There was no warning on the hotel site and we didnt notice any on the about Paris web sites. It looks far from finished so if you go in the next month or so best to check with the hotel in advance.

A few problems - will try somewhere else next time First, good location. Second, living in the dark ages. Had no iron in the room, but did have a single iron for the entire 430 room hotel located in a small closet on the top floor. When it broke, it took 24+ hours to fix it. Third, there were not enough electrical plugs in the room. Had to rotate charging cameras, using hair dryer, etc. Overall, was disappointed. For the price and the rating, this is unacceptable.

This location is absolutely excellent. We loved the room. Small and very European. Good air quality, clean room, hot shower. Breakfast is a little expensive 19e.we was able to walk to many shops and cafes for our meals. The hotel restaurant staff is very nice. The front desk staff is very helpful with directions, van reservations, etc.
