Just front of the fair ground. The level of breakfast is poor, even 16 euro! Why mini bar is so expensive? Just a mineral water (500mL) cost 7 euro.

It was a nice hotel in general although not quite spacious and internet connection is expensive. I guess it's normal in most hotels in Paris. Anyway, it was clean, quiet, and convenient since subway was close.

Great Value For Paris Hotel I would highly recommend the hotel especially if you plan to travel as a family. I have 2 kids and finding a resonable rate for a family of 4 was pretty challenging. The rates for our stay was reasonable and the room as big enough for all 4 of us to move around. I would say that this hotel room was in the American standard in terms of size & service. The hotel had a nice lobby and bar and the staff spoke english were all very polite and helpful. The hotel is right outside the Port De Versilles Metro stop. Across the street is a breadshop (for those on a budget this is GREAT) with lots of delicious pastries & sandwiches. Adjacent is a grocery too. The only thing that may be an issue to some would be the fact that it is not at the heart of Paris. It’s along the outskirts of the city but the Metro right outside so that kind of makes up for it. But do consider that the Paris is not too big to move around. The other thing is that the room’s AC didn’t seem to cool off enough. We didn’t mind it though as it was still early spring when we arrived so was still pretty cold out. I could imagine that it may be an issue for the summer months though. Overall, this hotel is good value for your money in Paris. No frills but clean and comfortable with very friendly and helpful staff. Outside you get the Metro and a bistro/restaurant is also next door. We would definitely book here again on our next visit. For family traveling to Paris, check on hotels that give you direct access to Metro, breadshops and groceries. You are better off buying food at the neighborhood breadshop and buying fruits/drinks at the grocery. If you can, pack your lunches and snacks. Important to buy big water bottles of "still" water and refill your smaller water bottles. Every bottle of water you buy adds up.

Great location in business district of Paris. Easy to access but not close to key tourist attractions. Great staff.

We did not enjoy our stay. The hotel's air conditioning did not work, the showers had scalding water that was not adjustable, and the hotel was undergoing renovation so the water was turned off an entire day. The location was extremely far from any sites. Since, we had to sleep with the windows open, the sound of the continual street traffic all night roaring through the intersection interfered with sleep.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Mercure. The staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and big enough, and the Metro is just in front of the hotel. All attractions could be reached easily, even Versailles. Breakfast is a little expensive, but on the other hand it was free for our 7-year-old daughter, and they also didn't charge anything for our 16 year old. I would recommend the Mercure hotel to my best friend. We enjoyed our stay.

Not impressed Front desk guy was very rude. We checked in at 12:30 and our room was not ready. Had to wait an hour with 2 very tired kids.

The hotel is OK. Nice room except for no AC and the shower head fell off one day. The Location was OK depending on the price you are paying. You can't stay here without taking the metro; however there are much better located hotels.

Overall, I like the hotel. I've lived in Paris for 1.5 years so I prefer to be away from the tourists, but if it's your first time visiting Paris, I don't recommend it. I would spend a little more for a location closer to the center. It's a nice hotel for business travelers. The metro station is right outside the hotel so it's very convenient, but it's a bit far away from tourist attractions in central Paris and the main line train stations so be prepared for several subway changes :) also, because it's on the edge of Paris and the metro closes around 1am, you can't stay out late.
