Splendid Stay This adorable Parisian hotel is a wonderful choice for anyone coming to Paris to see the sites. Our room was quite cramped but as an active couple we did not spend that much time in it. The Mecure is located a block from the Saint Lazare Metro, which is a large hub accessing many lines. This was a major plus for us. The hotel staff were so accomodating and friendly. It was also really helpful that they all spoke English. If you are looking for value and quality this is your place. The rooms may be small but they are clean, the staff is excellent and with the Metro stop right there you have easy access to the entire city.

The room overall was OK, quite small, no coffee and tea making facility (- but I think this applies to most european hotels (?!)), pricey - then again, it's paris. Most staff were nice and helpful. Great central location for shoppers.

Great location and ambiance. We stayed for 7 nights - our first experience with a 3 star hotel. Our room was small but very comfortable with plenty of storage and a very comfortable bed. Our room fronted on the street but we had no problem with noise aside from the occasional early morning garbage collection. The front desk staff was very friendly and our barman gave us a crash course on Rugby during our viewing of a World Cup Semifinal match. Cab drivers seemed to have a hard time finding our one-way street but telling them one block from Gare St. Lazare worked well. Easy walk to shops, restaurant, Montmartre. Breakfast is expensive but nicely done. Alternatives are within easy walking distance. We would definitely stay there again.
