Pleasant hotel in a great area I’d recommend this hotel. Walkable to a number of great restaurants, Latin Quarter. Service is professional but not particularly friendly.

A gem! This is a great hotel. Located across the street from St. German des Pres, it is in the heart of all the activity of the area yet seems secluded. Seems to cater to Americans - very large and comfy bed, mini-fridge/bar and great a/c yet has the Parisian feel we all seek when traveling. Less than a block from two Metro stops. Would recommend it to those on their first trip to romantic Paris or veteran Paris travelers.

Nice, comfortable hotel in great location I enjoyed my first visit to Paris. The hotel was very nice. The room was quiet & very comfortable - great mattress & towels. Location could not have been better, walking distance to Seine, Louvre, Tulleries, N Dame, Saint Chappelle, Latin Qtr & more. Staff was very helpful & pleasant. Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks I’m sure it is good, but skip the 15 Euros breakfast. Plenty of less expensive options nearby, including local dept store/supermarket around the corner. Restaurant next door, always filled w/locals, was great & very inexpensive; picked up a delicious tortellini carbonara for 6.50 Euros.

Great Location and Ambience The location of this hotel is wonderful. During my latest stay at the Madison, I had the opportunity to meet an upcoming French actress and to take a photo with her. Several movie scenes for a French movie (entitled I love her which was by French standards a very big production)was filmed at the Madison in May 2008. Daniel Autuielle was the leading French actor and we just missed meeting him by an hour. Traveler's tip Trying taking breakfast at one of the local patisseries, although the breakfast at the Madison is quite charming. There is a great patisserie behind the hotel on Rue de Seine that is very nice with excellent choices. For dinner, across the street on Rue du Buci and the side streets have good value tourist class restaurants. Much of the food is very good. Also the oldest restaurant in Paris is just a few blocks from the hotel which is another good choice.

Nice hotel, great location Hotel Le Madison is not a luxury hotel, but it's nice and clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The location is great. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location Good things about the hotel: 1. Fantastic location (near great shops, bars, restaurants and the Sorbonne where I had business). 2. Very clean and tidy. 3. Nice bed, firm matress and fluffy duvet. 4. Airconditioning - essential in the summer! 5. Very quiet room. Some bad things... 1. Room a bit too dark 2. Wireless internet is not free, but charged at 10 euros per hour! (very disappointing, but found Starbucks near by where I paid 2 euros per hour) 3. Shower area too narrow/small. Overall I was very happy with my stay though. Recommended!

the best of locations I picked this hotel because i graduated fron madison high school. it was an omen. the location was within walking distance to everything i needed. I wanted to take home all the beautiful furnishings in the common areas of the hotel.my room for 1 person was small, but the bed was very comfy. the shower though was way too small and the floor was soaked afterward. better to do away with the bidet. I asked the maid to show me a double room #33 and it was fabulous, lg bath, big room, king bed, and lovely view. when i return with my husband i'll definitely request that room. i was in #31. I would recommend this hotel
