+ We stayed in a standard room which was quite small but this was to be expected for paris. location was excellent, literally half way between the opera house and the louvre. hotel was clean, bathroom recently renovated and the bed was very comfortable. plenty of places to eat in the area and hotel staff were great. - Price of breakfast and charging 3 euro for a cup of tea in your room.

Great Location. This is it. Terrible service and ridiculously small rooms. Airconditioning is present but did not work at all. Any attempt to get hotel manager to react to this did not yield any results. I was told that "air conditioning do not work in all the rooms". Well...it is great city anyway.

The location is excellent, the personal very nice and the hotel is in very quiet surroundings. You can choice your breakfast yourself for 12 . Equipment of the room excellent. The room was quite small, it was not possible to keep the travelling bag opened in the room.

+ convenient location in walking distance to many sights and with easy access to many Metro-lines through 3 Metro stations nearby, direct Metroline to Gare de l'Est (where we arrived), reasonable price, very international choice of restaurant in the area

+ During our stay we found our room to be very comfortable and clean. we specifically wanted a small boutique hotel. the staff were always friendly and spoke very good english and helped us when required. the location is excellent, close to the metro, shopping and other tourist attractions within walking distance. we found some of the best local restaurants and bars located in and around the hotel. the street was very quiet and the whole area safe. should we ever get back to paris we would stay there again.

It is one of the best located hotels where I have been stayed in Paris, although the room was quite small.

This was a great find in a great city. Since we went in the summer, we had learned to look for air-conditioning, which is not always available when your budget requires a *** hotel. This one met the standards. We had a triple (which could have been for a fourth person...but hopefully a child). The hotel is very clean and is located on a hard-to-find street that is essentially a small square now overgrown with city buildings. However, there is next to no traffic on the street and that means no noise. (You should make a map or take a small card from the hotel desk with driving instructions for your taxi driver.) The principle complaint is that everything is so small! The room is scarcely big enough to walk around in and if you have big bags, they won't fit in the closet, so they'll clutter up the room. Same with the bathroom that can accomodate one person standing. Ditto for the elevator that looks like a small closet. (It is better than nothing, however, when it comes to lifting bags.) The breakfast room is also tiny: 6 tables for 60 rooms full of visitors who always seem to want to eat breakfast at the same time. The offerings are only cold cereal, fruit, bread, juice and coffee, so it is overpriced. You can do better for breakfast in any of the nearby shops. You can have breakfast in the room, but there is so little space, that is not an appealing option. This place is ideal for experienced travelers who know the city and want only a place to sleep. And that air-conditioning is worth it!

+ Reasonable breakfasts for 10€, and a peaceful location - The whole hotel is small scale.

We stayed at the Marsollier Opera for 3 nights in mid-October. The room was small, but folks this is Paris, it should be expected. Most important the room was very clean as was the bathroom and the bed was comfortable. The location is outstanding, it is on a quiet street just steps away from the Louvre, the Opera House and the Metro. It was a great location to sleep while enjoying our days and evenings exploring Paris. The staff was friendly and helpful with our requests. Considering the rate, the Marsollier is very good value.

+ Location, airco, comfy bed - Tiny elevator. The bathroom floor was uneven.
