I stayed with my girlfriend for a week-end at this hotel. There was a problem with our room so we were immediately upgraded to the best room in the hotel (top level) which was fantastic! We weren't charged extra for this upgrade so I don't know how much more expensive than the regular rooms it is but boy! what a room! The location of the hotel is excellent as the RER stop is less than a minutes walk around the corner. The staff are very professional and courteous and the owner Christian was very helpful via emails before we arrived in Paris. The hotel isn't the cheapest but c'mon - this is Paris - the value for money in this hotel is spot on. I think it's worth spending a little bit extra for a hotel of this quality. Friends of ours stayed in a slightly cheaper hotel and they were very unhappy with it. We had zero problems with this hotel over the course of the week-end. I'd reccommend it highly for couples. WARNING - there is an area directly behind this hotel which is full of restaurants, bars, tourists shops etc. DON'T BOTHER WITH IT! We ate here two evenings and the food was disgusting (we are not fussy eaters). Ask the hotel staff where to go for a nice atmospheric French restaurant that the locals themselves frequent. Slightly more expensive than the horrible restaurants behind our hotel but well worth it. Venere.com is a great site and I'll definitely be using it again.
