The stays at this hotel are always comfortable and convenient. Mass transport and shopping are nearby.

The Grande Hotel was central to our first "Paris" experience. We definitely plan to come back again. Everything was top of the line. The staff was friendly. The room was beautiful and clean. The environment was safe. I can't wait to come back.

I liked the room (small but comfy) and also the spacious and well-appointed bathroom. View and small balcony were nice, too. Particularly given the super-high roomrates, though, the service was disappointing. On Sunday morning, 7:30, I was sleeping off jet lag when someone was pounding at the door to my room. I went to door, opened it and there stood a uniformed lad of no more than 16 yrs with room svc I had not ordered. He briefly apologized and scurried away. Then, at ck-out, the English speaking adult at the desk insisted I pay 120 euros more than had been agreed. I showed her what clearly had been agreed, but she did not relent until after over a minute of awkward silence, perhaps trying to embarass me into paying. Finally, it was settled (grudgingly, I thought) and I eagerly left the premises. Buyer beware at this comfortable but expensive, large hotel!

I stayed at this hotel both before and after the remodeling. This is a completely different hotel after the remodel. If you stayed there before, do not judge by the previous life of the hotel. The hotel is now fantastic in every way. The rooms are luxurious and completely modern and elegent. Flat LCD screen TV's etc. The public areas beautiful, spacious and luxurious. The breakfast IS great. Also, the somewhat historic restaurant, which was somewhat dowdy before, is now first class in decor and food. The location is very good. A short walk to the Louve, Vendome, Opera, shopping, etc. A flagship in every way. The service is not up to the Georges V, where I have also stayed, but then, the Georges V is the best hotel in the world bar none, so that is not a drawback. But, this is a very, very good place to stay in Paris. Michelin also rates it up in the top ranks.

I would never recommend a hotel who mixes business and politics. Out of conviction, they cancelled an Israeli Tourism fair claiming Israel tortures Palestinians. Very bad idea to mix business and politics cause the American Jewish Community will boycott that hotel chain. I have stayed couple times in this hotel, very impersonal.

This hotel was amazing, intercontinental has set the bar high for great chain hotels with the Le Grand. The location is convenient, one block to the metro, opera house, restaurants and exclusive shops all around. The room service was excellent, with multiple services including turn down, mini bar restocking, even slippers, perfume, robes to make your stay just that much better. The hotel has a business center and restaurants that are the place to be, cafe de la paix was always bustling with people. The rooms are very elegant, obviously they went all out with their renovation. Shower is nice, however it can easily spray to the floor with the shower head positioning and door style. The Conceierge was OK, not what i expected for a hotel of that caliber, didn't really get much there, but if you know what you want to do they will help direct you and tell you how to save money. One more thing, the hotel defintely caters to English speakers, with all main interactions available in English, including all of the room services and food menus. The hotel has 24 hour room service and a nice mini bar, just be aware that it is not cheap. Room service includes the staff setting up a table in your room with all the fixings, working to make it just like home. The room service breakfast is very customizable and has a lot of food, which aligns with the price tag. There is also a buffet, but we didn't try that out. All in all, experience in Paris and this hotel was awesome. I'd recommend it to my friends and family, and loyaly stay at an Intercontinental again. Enjoy!

Beautiful hotel. Not as many restaurants nearby as in other areas, but it was conveniently located, about a block from the metro. The restaurant in the hotel was too expensive to actually use, but was very good. The staff could have been friendlier, but the hotel's niceness made up for it. The shower could have been better, but the bed was soft and very comfy. And, the room was a nice size for Europe.

I am sure the Saudi princes staying there were treated well, but we definitely detected a different level of treatment for us. Despite doorknob sign saying do not disturb, cleaning staff barged into our rooms and were angry with my 12 year old about needing to clean the room soon, even after they had awakened her from jet lag sleep. Honestly for $600 retail and $343 wholesale the room was small. it was quiet. and the bathroom was recently redone. The floor maid "escorted us down the hallway " each time we came and went, for unknown reasons, I suspect they were concerned about the mountains of luggage, with Saudi addresses which remained piled along the hallway outside the "princesses" rooms for three days.
