Ibis Bastille Opera

If you make a trip to Paris, this was over the top. Spend a few bucks more and get a nicer room from some other hotel operation. When we complained about the room, they responded and stated the hotel was being renovated; however, that is a total deception as there was no indication of that since the hotel lobby in itself is in a time warp of 25 years ago. The rooms are like prison cells and the walls are of this oil based hard stucco type textrue - too gruesome! The bathrooms are the worst - abundant mold. NEVER EVER AGAIN! We are still recovering from colds and I do not doubt the mold at the Ibis Bastille Opera was a contributing factor - I once had a mold problem in my own home that was repaired and I felt the same identical sickness in this room. Also, can't believe they were out of extra pillows - their pillows are as tiny as the ones American Airlines provides.

Wonderful place to stay with an excellent location. Very near the metro. On site restaurant and bar with very good food. Very cordial and helpful staff. I will stay here again on my next trip to Paris.
