This hotel is clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and polite. Rooms were smaller than we expected. Was amazed that we had to request and iron, and there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. When we booked we were told this hotel was 5*...........it isn't! The hotel restaurant is simply the lobby, which we found very strange. We did book to eat there and were amazed that we were essentially eating in the lobby/lounge. Felt like we were in a fish bowl as lots of other people just lounging about having a drink. We decided not to stay eat there so can't comment on the quality of the food as the setting put us off.

Excellent international staff truly helpful, especially considering we don't speak French!

The Madeleine was terrific. I was expecting "a Hyatt" and was surprised greatly on the upside. The hotel is convenient to everything, well and courteously staffed, and has every needed amenity. While from the outside facade it looks like "just another hotel" the decor, in quality and style, is exceptional throughout. The bathrooms are modern and gorgeous, the linens (sheets, towels and robes) extremely high quality, the bedrooms compact, and yet containing everything you need, of the very highest quality. There are a few rooms with a "peek" view of the Eiffel Tower if you request them specifically; all rooms are beautifully appointed. I was travelling with a group of EU and US businesspeople and we all agreed it was a terrific hotel we would recommend highly.

I loved the modern and clean amenities. The rooms were relatively small, but with every imaginable accommodation that would make one feel at home. Precise, clean and perfect!

My wife and I recently stayed here not knowing anything about the hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful in finding things to do in the city, and good local places for dinner. By the second day, they all know exactly who you are and your names, in fact when we came into the hotel one afternoon, the woman at the front desk stopped my wife and told her that she had a message. I was suprised that she even remembered who we were, but on top of that to remember that there was a message for my wife was great. The ambience of the hotel from the outside is ok, but once you get inside, it is all marble floors, there is a champagne lounge right in front, and the rooms are incredible. We had a slight view of the Eiffel Tower. We have already reserved again for next year.

The staff made my wife and I feel right at home. The concierge service was helpful in their recommendations, and we felt warmly cared for by everyone. The restaurant on the premesis was exquisite with great breakfast buffet and lunches that rivaled any of the highly touted alternatives outside.
